RH Ocean Grill at RH Newport Beach

“Made dinner reservations for my 50th birthday, but something came up last minute so we decided to drop by during lunch time the next day without reservations. Fortunately, they were able to get us seated immediately outdoors next to the water fountain. The restaurant was gorgeous and ambiance was beautiful. The view was amazing, food was spectacular, and the service was great. It was perfection and I would definitely come back. Highly recommend!”

“RH Restaurant & Bar completely surprised me in the best way. I honestly did not expect the food and cocktails to be this good, but from the first sip to the last bite, everything felt thoughtful, polished, and genuinely memorable. The mezcal cocktail was surprisingly excellent, balanced, smoky, and much better than expected. The caviar appetizer was absolutely to die for, elegant and indulgent without feeling overdone. The Caesar was exactly my kind of Caesar, super anchovy forward, with crisp romaine, finely shaved Parmesan, and croutons so crunchy you could hear the crisp from a mile away. The grilled shrimp was also a must, simple, fresh, and beautifully done. Dessert was another highlight. The banana dessert was something I never would have expected to love, but it had the perfect thin layer of caramelized brûlée on top, paired with beautiful ice cream and caramel that was not overly burnt or too sweet. The homemade cream with the warm cookies was delicious, and those cookies were everything you want, warm and soft inside, loaded with dark chocolate, and finished with just the right amount of sea salt. We also had the lemon dessert, which reminded me of limoncello in Italy and worked perfectly as a bright palate cleanser before the richer desserts. Most importantly, the service was exceptional. It was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. Such a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday, and honestly, RH Restaurant & Bar exceeded every expectation. “We had an amazing experience at RH Grill celebrating my mom’s birthday! The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful, elegant, and relaxing. Every dish was prepared perfectly, making the entire meal enjoyable from start to finish. A special thank you to our servers, Aaron and Jacob, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. To top it all off, they surprised my mom with a cookie and candle at the end of our meal, which was such a thoughtful touch and made her birthday celebration even more special. Highly recommend RH Grill for great food, outstanding service, and a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back!”

“The ambiance and aesthetic of this place is unmatched. The restaurant is on the fourth floor, and to get up there you step through the RH gallery showcasing insanely beautiful furniture and home decor. The incredible ocean views are breathtaking. Even the washroom is incredible. The food is pretty good, high quality and presented nicely. The crispy potatoes had zero seasoning though. Staff are very professional and friendly.”

“Amazing ambiance at this beautiful restaurant on top of Restoration Hardware. The views are absolutely majestic. You feel like you are in the most amazing and beautiful place in the world. Of course the interior design of the restaurant is magnificent. Service was very attentive and generally fast. My coffee was refilled at least 3 times. We went for a weekend brunch. The brunch menu is nothing to write home about. I had the RH scrambled that come with a few thinly sliced toasted bread, half an avocado and soft scrabbled eggs. It hit the spot but again nothing to blow me away. My wife had the Asian chicken salad with rotisserie chicken. It was very small for the price and she said overall it was a 2/5. I don’t think you are going to this restaurant for the food but rather the ambiance and the views.”
