“I was late to my reservation by almost an hour however Mark and staff took great care of me and my spouse. The kitchen was closed but the chef was still around and they accommodated us and let us have the last order of the night. Mind you, they did not know it was for our anniversary! Made it so much more special. Vibes were immaculate, food was great. 10/10! Stop by and see for yourself. Thank you guys!!”
“Shelby's Rooftop is a great spot for dinner, drinks, and a fun atmosphere. The rooftop setting is beautiful, the service was friendly, and the food was well prepared and nicely presented. The bone marrow and braised short rib were standouts, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I'd definitely come back for the ambiance, cocktails, and another relaxing evening with friends.”
“Had a Sunday brunch date here and it was such a great experience! The views are one of the best in SF and we really enjoyed our food (Shakshouka Verde and breakfast platter). Our server was friendly and we never felt rushed during our two hours there. We also got some coffee after our meal and the ambience was overall very relaxing. The only issue was their valet parking, they charged us $25 for two hours, but it took a second to get our car after requesting it. The valet guy apologized for the delay but still something to keep in mind if you’re in a rush.”
“San Francisco is home to many exceptional dining establishments, and this was an outstanding last-minute discovery. My wife and I were in town for a conference, traveling with our 20-month-old daughter. After a three-hour drive, we arrived feeling quite fatigued. Upon checking into our hotel, we consulted the concierge for a dinner recommendation. She was gracious and efficient, securing us a reservation promptly. From the moment we were seated, the service was attentive and welcoming. Beverages were served promptly, and the staff handled our specific requests for our daughter with genuine care and without hesitation—an accommodation we greatly appreciated. The cuisine was equally impressive. The risotto and cauliflower were beautifully seasoned, striking a thoughtful balance of flavor. The salmon was expertly prepared—moist and perfectly cooked—complemented by a well-executed Cajun jambalaya rice. Our server’s cocktail recommendations paired seamlessly with our selections, enhancing the overall dining experience. In sum, what began as a spontaneous, last-minute plan became a truly delightful and memorable evening.”
“05/23/2026 2000 hrs. If you are visiting the city I would highly recommend not coming here. We had a few disappointing issues during our dining experience. First, being seated does take some time. We had reservations and with only one host took over 6 minutes to be seated. Secondly, the food was pretty mid. I had the weekly special Crab fettuccine, my partner had the salmon. Nothing too glamorous but the biggest problem was the salmon served. My lady had her salmon, what we thought, was a little undercooked. We told the waitress about it and she asked if we would like to speak to the manager. We rarely do that but we obliged. Manager came by (6’ male, curly black hair, glasses) & spoke with us. We told him of our experience. Noted there was a small piece left that was undercooked. Didn’t get much feedback on our food though. Somewhere along the lines of “I talked to our cooking staff.” We weren’t looking for any kind of comp or handout but a little more clarity. Ultimately in the end none of our food was comped which was not our MO. Third, we were only checked on once by our server which was when we had already finished with our food. They were busy but I feel that it’s something that isn’t addressed at the manager level. Pro - Decent views of the city. As you can see in the other reviews that is generally the number one listed filter in the reviews. Disappointing in the fact the were we staying at the Canopy Hilton Hotel that the restaurant is on. For others checking out the restaurant I would highly suggest another venue and scroll through other reviews to see what their experience was like.”
