Chef Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry. His culinary journey has taken him across South Africa, Germany, and the United States. Paul began his career as a restaurant manager and steadily rose through the ranks to become a franchise owner and later Director of Operations. In 1994, he launched Paul’s Pizza Shops, a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas. In 2009, Paul introduced a bold new idea—Peli Peli, a South African fusion restaurant that quickly gained national acclaim. As Executive Chef & Owner he helped shape Peli Peli into a beloved destination for adventurous diners. After retiring from Peli Peli in 2018, Paul returned to his original location at Vintage Park to unveil his latest and most personal creation: The Chef’s Table. “This is by far my best creation yet,” says Chef Friedman. “I hope to leave a legacy here that my children and grandchildren will be proud of.”
