Serving up a simply straightforward (and straight-up savory) menu of Northern Italian classics like risotto, fresh pastas, crostini, antipasti, and verdure, an extensive wine list highlighting the best biodynamic and organic wines from Italy and Northern California, and world class cocktails from the bar, The Tailor's Son is a love letter to Italy woven from a different cloth.
“We hosted a team dinner for 12 at The Tailor’s Son, and it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish! Leo was an amazing host his warm welcome and top-tier customer service really set the tone for the evening. He went above and beyond to accommodate our group on very short notice, which we truly appreciated. Our server was just as incredible super attentive, efficient, and always on top of making sure food and drinks came out quickly and smoothly. We started off with a great variety of appetizers, including the Carpaccio di Tonno, Prosciutto di Parma, Mondeghili, House Focaccia, Little Gem alla Romana, and Insalata di Fragola everyone loved them all! My personal favorite was the gnocco fritto with gorgonzola dolcelatte absolutely delicious and a must-try. For my main, I had the Bucatini all’Aragosta. The flavors were amazing and it tasted great, though I do wish there had been a bit more lobster for the price. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Between the outstanding service and the delicious food, this is definitely a spot I’d come back to. Thank you to the whole team for making our dinner so memorable!”
“The Tailor’s Son is such a gem! Super yummy Italian food with the best vibes—perfect for a date night or even a casual night out with the girls. The service was amazing and everything came out so fast. The meatballs were so good, and the tagliatelle bolognese was absolutely incredible—definitely ordering that again. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a cute spot with great food and a fun atmosphere!”
“Only did happy hour today ~ Amazing drink and small dishes - totally blown away by how small things can taste so good. The calamari is the best I had for a very long time. The chocolate pudding also crazily good - not too sweet and with the special aroma of chocolate. Will come back for dinner soon.”
“The place has good airy casual vibe. We walked in for lunch, there was no wait time. Ordered three dishes, service was a bit slow, the dishes didn't come out all together and had to wait for two of them. The buccatini pasta was really good. Lemon ricotta pancakes were dry and had no lemon or ricotta flavor. The vegetable scramble was ordinary, decent but nothing remarkable. It is a bit on the pricey side. Is better as a dinner pasta kinda place than a brunch place.”
“The food at The Tailor’s Son was great! We ordered the Spaghetti all’Aragosta and the Cappellacci di Zucca, and both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. For dessert, we tried the Apple Crisp, but it was a bit of a letdown — it was more like warm, soggy apples with raisins and a scoop of gelato rather than an actual crisp. While the main dishes were solid, the service definitely missed the mark. Our waiter didn’t check on us once after the food arrived, and the whole experience felt rushed. It’s a shame because the food itself was enjoyable, but the service took away from what could’ve been a great dining experience.”
