Sleek eatery & lounge offering an eclectic menu of international small plates, wines & cocktails.
“Good menu. I loved the Scallops on an interesting bed of fried potatoes, mushrooms and ham. Nice location and vibe. Price is a bit steep but the food, wine, service and location makes it worthwhile.”
“My first time at this place and I was welcomed by Jeremy at the bar. Asked for his suggestion on what food to get and he recommended the Pork Stroganoff. It did not disappoint, however, it needed just a little bit more salt. Just a tiny bit. Other than that I had a great time and will go back again.”
“Loved this restaurant since they were located in Maple Lawn. Great food and service. Bartender Jeremy is a freaking incredible! The cilantro margarita is a new and unexpected favorite. The ceviche is the best in the area.”
“New hidden gem in Columbia! Sited in the former Hickory Ridge grill in the Hickory Ridge village center.Incredible food, unbelievable service, modern, comfortable and very cool space. Cocktails and prices not to be believed! Thank you, Robbie! Much success. Can't wait to come back!!”
“I hate to do this, but I was not impressed with my recent visit to Ranazul. I had been to the restaurant in Maple Lawn many times over the years, it was a great restaurant and I loved their tapas style dining. However, I hadn't tried the restaurant after it had moved locations. This past weekend, we went on Father's Day and it was lackluster to say the least. I will start off by saying our server was excellent and none of this review is a reflection on service. The atmosphere was not great. The ceiling tiles above us had multiple large water marks and looked like there was a recent very bad leak. They were black, actually, and I noticed them as soon as we sat down. The interior of the restaurant is very tiny. The finishes were just OK, nothing special. The previous restaurant was beautiful and looked upscale, this looks mediocre at best. I went there with my two sons and their father, so it was 4 people total. My bill at the end was $242. For what I paid, I could have gone to a much fancier, nicer establishment. Some of the small plates were terrible. The potato gratin I ordered was just cubed potatoes sitting in a soupy sauce that had no char, no garnishment, nothing on top. It was odd looking. We all remarked on it as it came out. It tasted fine - but was not finished like an expensive restaurant. I was confused by the presentation. My husband ordered the steak and I will say the steak was cooked perfectly, however, the spinach and potatoes included with it looked like they were plated haphazardly, weren't very warm and looked again, like something you'd get at a standard fair dining place. My son ordered the pasta Alfredo as his small plate and lucky for us, he is used to bland food. The small plate was watery, the chicken looked bland and the actual Alfredo was not correct. Alfredo should be thick and stick to the noodles - this was SOUP. If it had been my small plate, I would have sent that back immediately. It was not worth the absolutely outrageous $24 listed on the menu. It's PASTA with some cuts of chicken. The patatas bravas were not as good as I remember them, they are bigger now and don't have any of the delicious seasoning they used to be cooked with. I have no idea who was in charge of the kitchen here on Sunday but they were asleep at the wheel. For a $242 bill, everything should have been beyond excellent. It was not. And it was not worth the money spent. I will say, the desserts were great but... it's hard to screw up molten lava cakes. Very disappointed. If you know what Ranazul used to be like, you will not be happy with the current options. I will also add the music being played was so bizarre, it was like a rotation of TikTok popular songs. It did not match the vibe of the restaurant at all.”
