Mezcalero La Cosecha by Chef Alfredo Solis, brings the flavors of Mexico’s many coastal communities to Union Market District. Mezcalero stands out from its Virginia and Northwest namesakes, including some favorites from those menus but focusing on an abundance of Latin dishes influenced by the chef’s upbringing in Mexico. Guests will recognize Solis’ fresh ceviches, charbroiled oysters inspired by his time as head chef at a New Orleans-themed restaurant as well as signature dishes found only at Mezcalero La Cosecha.
“We heard good things about this spot and now we know why! After struggling to find good authentic Mexican food here, we were happy to find Mexcalero. This location is in La Cosecha, which is a cute spot with a number of options. We sat at the bar and had great service and our food was fresh and delicious. The mole was very good- we’ll definitely be back!”
“Casual setting Mexican restaurant serving tasty dishes from Latin America. It’s located inside La Cosecha Latin marketplace. Amazing drink list!!”
“We stopped by Mezcalero Mexican inside La Cosecha Latin Marketplace for a quick lunch, and it instantly became one of our favorite spots in the food hall! I ordered the arrachera burrito, and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a bold, smoky flavor that came through in every bite. My wife went with the beef enchiladas, which were smothered in a rich, zesty sauce with just the right amount of heat. Both dishes tasted incredibly fresh and authentically Mexican like a vibrant little escape to Latin America right in the middle of La Cosecha. The portions were generous, leaving us satisfied but not overly full, and the lively yet casual atmosphere of the food hall made our lunch date feel fun and relaxed. Our server was friendly and efficient as well. If you’re craving standout Mexican food with real flavor inside La Cosecha, Mescalero is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back soon highly recommended!”
“Excellent food, friendly service, and open dining in the food hall inside the marketplace. Enjoyed all pastor tacos, shrimp tacos, and a delicious entree with grilled salmon and a creamy yellow sauce. Also enjoyed a delicious well balanced hibiscus margarita. Would definitely return to try more items. There is dining area next to the restaurant as well as the open seating in the main marketplace center.”
“First time visiting , Mezcalero was worth the pricing. Drinks were tasty, appetizers were as well. My friend had the ceviche (very fresh) and I enjoyed the oysters app, which needs to come with more because they are so dang good LOL!!”
