“Revival Ice Cream was easily one of the best dessert stops in Monterey. The ice cream was ridiculously creamy, packed with flavor, and way better than your average ice cream shop. The whole place had a fun, chill vibe and the staff was super cool too. Honestly one of those spots where you immediately want to come back and try more flavors. Pro tip: try the Coffee Carmel flavor; seriously so good.”
“Fantastic ice cream! Not surprising there is always a line out the door! The bee's knees is a must try- you get a honeycomb in a smooth vanilla ice cream. They have many other types, and seasonal fruit sorbets. I tried the passion fruit and it was good. Their chocolates are fantastic as well! The waffle cones are delicious, and the ice cream is on sweeter side. Even a small done is sufficient, especially if you want to lay off on the sweets. Definite one of the gems of Monterey, and a great place to your guests. Parking and the wait can be a pain sometimes, but it's totally worth it! Enjoy!”
“BRO! This ice cream was actually some of the best ice cream I have ever had. You might hear that all the time, but I am being genuine when I say that I have never had ice-cream on this extreme of a level of deliciousness. I got a cup of Apple Pie and Milk&Cookies with Honeycomb candies on top. APPLE PIE! It actually tasted like legitimate apple pie! The Milk & Cookies was a safe, but very exquisite flavor and to top it all with the Honeycomb candies was great! I don’t know if i’ll add the candies again given how sweet it was, but the texture was so fun!”
“Amazing staff and quick service. Would highly recommend for anyone that is vegan or dairy free. I loved the pistachio and peanut butter chip. Give them a try if you’re in the area!”
“Revival Ice Cream is one of those rare “stumbled upon” or word-of-mouth discoveries that ends up being a memorable stop. Located on the famed Alvarado Street in Monterey, the shop itself is relatively unobtrusive — easy to walk past if you’re not paying attention — but absolutely worth seeking out. They offer a rotating selection of handmade ice cream flavors, but the true standout is the Bee’s Knees. It appears to be a vanilla base laced with caramelized honey and bits of honeycomb candy. The flavor is rich without being overwhelming — sweet, slightly floral, with that delicate crunch from the honeycomb. It’s the kind of ice cream that feels just unique enough to be memorable. If nothing else, visitors should give this signature flavor a try. Portion sizes range from a modest 2-ounce “mini” scoop up to more generous servings. Cones and cups are available. One thing to note: they do not offer samples, so you’ll want to choose confidently. While the ice cream itself was fantastic (I had a single scoop after dinner and it was the perfect finish), the service was less impressive. The staff were not particularly friendly, which slightly muted the overall experience. Still, despite the service concerns, the quality of the ice cream alone makes Revival Ice Cream worth a visit. If you’re strolling Alvarado Street and in the mood for something special, the Bee’s Knees might just live up to its name.”
