“Best Italian food in all of Monterey county! Great homemade pasta! They have the best flavors here. Very authentic Italian food. Ambiance is lovely and service is fantastic. Good wine choices and delicious desserts as well. I used to love this place when it was predominantly French, but I love it more with their authentic Italian flair. If you are looking for good French food or the best pasta around this area, this is the place to go!”

“So good I actually cried. Ok we moved back from Europe 4 years ago and this was the best meal we have had since, I really did cry as the chef explained how he built the dish and his inspiration. Frederico and Sabrina are true artists. We started with the grilled peach salad. My husband had the pappardelle ragu and I had the cannelloni. For dessert we had the creme brulee cheesecake. Everything was incredible. We will come back to Monterey just to eat at Bistro Moulin again!”

The service is entirely their own, supported seamlessly by Gerardo, who is equally outstanding. Together, they operate with remarkable precision and warmth, never missing even the smallest detail. The wine program is equally impressive...perfectly priced, with effortless pairings that enhance each course. The space itself feels welcoming and intimate, like dining in someone’s home, and the recently added outdoor seating is a wonderful touch. Simply put: where is Michelin? This restaurant is more than deserving of recognition. An outstanding experience from start to finish. Superb!”

“We had the most amazing dinner at Bistro Moulin!! I’ve walked by on our way to and from the Aquarium and wanted to try it. Our family of 6 was welcome like honored guests, everyone at the restaurant was just so lovely and friendly. We ordered the special appetizer of lamb lollipops and the escargot off the menu. Both fantastic. Every entree was out of this world delicious. They had an excellent wine selection, I had a local Pinot and it was great. We were all stuffed but couldn’t resist the dessert specials, profiteroles and triple chocolate mouse. We really had the best time and can’t wait to go back!”

“I read a lot of reviews, was a huge fan of the escargot!! & The gnocchi was phenomenal!!!!!!! Loved these dishes... Highly recommend these appetizer. Would not get the wild boar ragu again. Service was amazing!!! Family owned and well taken care of. Dessert special was mediocre had the ice cream puff balls and was not something I would get again.”
