Vin by the Sea is a family-owned boutique wine bar and all-day restaurant with a curated selection of small production wines, bubbles serving casual elevated dining. We cultivate an approachable and inspiring space to get together, making the everyday something to celebrate. A broader list of wines and sparkling by the glass lets our quests experiment, discover new favorites, and make space for wine makers who aren't featured on traditional wine lists. Paired with thoughtfully crafted cuisine that is elevated but never fussy, a welcoming staff, and a gorgeous space, it's the perfect space to gather. With over 50 selections by the glass and bottle, the extensive list caters to every palate, from crisp Chardonnays and refreshing Rosés to bold reds, all served until late. Pair these with chef-driven coastal cuisine from Chef Paul Corsentino, whose 20+ years of experience shine in each plate with seasonal ingredients from local foragers, fishermen, and farmers ensure fresh, harmonious flavors that celebrate Monterey's bounty.
“Loved my time at VIN! Came here for a glass of wine and cheese plate, and really enjoyed the space. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine list, providing great recommendations for my party. The cheese plate was on par with Carmel prices, but offered a great selection of local cheeses and other fruits and snacks. Looked like there was a more extensive menu for a full meal, so excited to go back!”
“Very nice local place for wine and food. We just came in and had a bottle of Pinot Noir and dessert. We had our doggie with us and they were very welcoming. They even had dog bandanas! Stop by for a local feel and great service. Our server, Laura, was great and helped us find the best wine and desert.”

“Absolutely wonderful! The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable, and all of the food was some of the best I ever ate! The crispy brussels sprouts and gnocchi were incredible, as were the vin burger and lemon tart. The crispy duck with huckleberry compote was so tender, it practically melted in my mouth. As well as a a wonderful selection of excellent wines, it’s nice they also had two NA “wine” options.”
“The by-the-glass list is always changing, and always interesting — from highly allocated grower champagnes to burgundies to small-lot California producers. You can tell there is genuine curation behind it, not just a distributor’s lineup. The menu strikes the same balance - coastal, seasonal, and quietly ambitious without ever trying too hard. A few plates have already reached “addictive ritual” status — the arancini and the Louisiana chicken are impossible to skip. The atmosphere is unpretentious but polished, you can come for a glass after work or settle in for a long evening with friends, and it just… fits. Exactly what Carmel needed - great wine selection, good food and open late into the evening. And I can bring my dog :)”
