“We had a business meeting at this Winston-Salem establishment in the middle of the day on a weekday. It was fairly crowded. When you first enter, you notice the trappings of a hunting or fishing lodge. There is a fireplace, as well as canoes and fishing stuff on the walls. We ordered the local trout, with sweet potatoes and asparagus. We also ordered a chicken salad sandwich. The trout was delicious. For dessert, we wanted to try a traditional North Carolina dessert, so we tried the banana pudding. The native North Carolinaians in our group commented that the pudding we were served was not prepared in an authentically North Carolina-ish manner, but it was still good. We did not order any alcoholic beverages. The service was friendly and attentive. This was overall a very pleasant lunch.”

“My fiance took me out for my 21st birthday and Precious was our waitress. She was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious, well worth the price. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm, and the restaurant manager came around to check on each table to make sure all was well. You can tell that the restaurant runs great as a team. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend dining here. We will be coming back!”

“I am gluten free, so I really loved their gluten free menu options! The server also advised they have separate spaces in the kitchen for gluten free! While I understand they can’t label their items as celiac safe, I felt safe eating here with their knowledge of gluten free and taking things seriously”

“Just a really sweet place to hang out either with friends, family, or your significant other. Beautiful, cozy decor work fireplaces warming is up. Loved the food! Very tasty and classic as well as healthy options. We had the bison cream cheese dip - they accommodated my gluten free needs by bringing both the flatbread for hubby and corn tortilla chips for me! Had salmon berry salad, husband had burger and fries. They even had option for GF bun! For dessert we shared dark chocolate creme brulee - super yummy!”

“I usually never leave bad reviews. Let me start off by saying the restaurant is beautiful. Everything was going great…service was quick, salads were great, drink was unique. Then came the main courses. My Husband had steak…looked great. I ordered a cheese pizza…only problem is when it came to the table IT WAS PEPPERONI! I DO NOT EAT PORK. Have Not EATEN PORK in about 12 yrs. Notified the waitress, she stated they would fix it. Came out 10 mins later with what looked like a cheese pizza, but was in fact the same pepperoni pizza as before…JUST REMOVED THE PEPPERONI! The Nerve! You CAN LITERALLY SEE A PIECE OF PEPPERONI ON IT! $80 BIRTHDAY Meal. Will NOT be returning!”
