Our most popular adventure, The Ultimate Ranch Experience, offers guests a guided vineyard horseback ride followed by an estate wine tasting seated on the winery terrace overlooking the estate, paired with cheese and charcuterie.
“Shadybrook Winery is one of those Napa experiences that feels memorable from the moment you arrive. The property is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous vineyard views, lovely gardens, a peaceful mountain backdrop, and a thoughtfully arranged seating area that makes the wine tasting feel both relaxed and special. It is a perfect place to enjoy wine at an unhurried pace while taking in the scenery. They offer two tasting options: the Rapp Ranch tasting and the Shadybrook tasting. Each one has a slightly different selection of wines, and both are absolutely worth trying. I really appreciated the variety and character in the lineup. Their Pinot Noir was excellent — beautifully balanced, expressive, and flavorful, unlike many Pinots that can sometimes come across as too light or bland. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Sémillon, a unique white varietal I had never tried before. It stood out as something different and memorable. The cheese board pairing was another highlight. It complemented the wines perfectly and added a lot to the overall tasting experience. What truly made the visit exceptional, though, was our host. She was amazing — warm, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about the wines. She took the time to explain each wine, the pairings, the sourcing, and the details behind what we were tasting, which made the entire experience feel personal and elevated. Shadybrook has the perfect combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent wines, thoughtful pairings, and outstanding hospitality. I will definitely visit again and would love to bring home a few of their unique varietals, as well as some everyday wines to enjoy later. Highly recommend this winery to anyone visiting Napa who wants a scenic, high-quality, and genuinely enjoyable tasting experience. :::”
“My fiancé and I went for the romantic experience for my birthday. Kiera the horse guide was amazing & Shannon the wine tasing guide was amazing as well! Will very likely recommend. They even brought a little cake out for us as it was my birthday, we will be returning.”
“So having looked in and around Napa for a tasting tour we settled on Shadybrook . Now this was based on reviews and closeness to downtown Napa itself , as we had no rental car and were using public transport from San Francisco. The day started by catching the ferry to Vallejo, weather was sunny in the morning with a cool breeze. Arrived in Vallejo and the headed to the bus terminal. Jumped the number 11 up to Napa , now in hindsight maybe should've got an Uber . The bus was nearly 1hr and a half . Tour at Shadybrook was booked for 1330 so didn't give ourselves enough time to explore downtown Napa. So arrived at Shadybrook and greeted by Pablo ( as we had walked right past were we were meant to be ) our host was Roseanna. Our wine journey began , tasting 4 wines with charcuterie. Roseanna was very informative and happy to answer out questions . It was a pity the weather never held out as slightly overcast and a little drizzle. However never dampened the experience. I will definitely return to Shadybrook , and would like to thank Roseanna for a great experience.”
“Amazing experience. Marcus and Ariel made the day pure perfection. Their knowledge was vast and helpful, but their personality is where it mattered most and they both delivered on personality and customer service with a sincere desire to make sure everyone was happy. The wine selections were terrific for a guy with minimal knowledge and experience with wines. The charcuterie board had a variety of very good cheeses and meats. The raisins were shockingly good. Not a raisin fan. This truly was a 5 star experience. My only gripe, we couldnt keep the glasses as souvenirs. They should have throw in a pair with a wine purchase. But thats ok. Would still return. Thank you to the Shadybrook staff for making this guy feel special.”
“Definitely our new favorite! Did the 45 minute trail ride before our wine tasting, For the ultimate experience - and it didn’t disappoint. The vineyards were gorgeous, The horses were awesome and we loved our little wrangler. Mark was so informative about all of the wines and was just a pleasure to be around from start to finish. The wines were absolutely amazing! And the charcuterie board was the perfect amount of yummyness! Great job Shadybrook! We’ll definitely be back.”
