“Single Barrel Social in Brighton absolutely exceeded my expectations! I was in town for a project and happened to discover this gem, and my only regret is not finding it sooner. After my first visit, I ended up eating dinner here the last three days of my trip. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and had a unique vibe that made for a fantastic dining experience. Paul behind the bar crafted some of the most creative and delicious cocktails I've had in a long time. The drinks were unique, perfectly balanced, and showed incredible attention to detail. Joe, the manager, was outstanding. His hospitality and genuine passion for providing a great experience were evident throughout the evening. It's refreshing to see someone so engaged and committed to making guests feel welcome. Last but not least compliments to the chef—because the food was simply incredible. The A5 Bolognese was phenomenal and unlike anything I've had before. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and easily among the best in the area. Single Barrel Social has the perfect combination of amazing food, exceptional drinks, and top-notch service. Brighton is lucky to have a place like this. I can't wait to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!”
“We absolutely loved this place! Went last night for dad’s birthday dinner. Amazing server wish I could remember his name, super cool tatted guy who took great care of us. 10 oz wagyu flat iron was great and so were all the sides. Would recommend the pork belly and rolls as appetizers.”
“We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday here the Saturday before Easter and had a wonderful experience. Because of the holiday, we were able to secure a last-minute reservation, which worked out perfectly for our plans. Our server was fantastic—attentive without being overbearing, checking in just the right amount to make sure everything was going smoothly while still giving us space to enjoy the celebration. The food was a highlight of the evening. The skillet bread was absolutely incredible—easily some of the best we’ve ever had. We also appreciated the variety of non-steak options available, which made it a great choice for everyone in our group. The pesto pasta, in particular, stood out. I was initially unsure about the mint, but it ended up adding a unique and delicious twist that really elevated the dish. Overall, a great spot for a special occasion, with excellent service and memorable food.”
“Hubby and I dined here our first time to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience top to bottom was exceptional. I will say their food IS pricey so I would consider this more of a special occasion restaurant for us. We like to sample multiple items when dining out. *To start we had their bread, which was deliciously soft and topped with a well seasoned butter. *Hubby ordered their shrimp cocktail (I'm not a seafood fan) and thoroughly enjoyed it. At first he was hesitant because it's a grilled and chilled shrimp, not a traditional boiled and chilled shrimp, and he wasn't sure how that would affect it's taste but he loved it. *We then shared the wedge salad. Our server had the kitchen split the salad for us and I'm glad she did; half was plenty for us to split so we took the rest home. The roasted tomatoes on the salad were a nice change from traditional chilled ones, bacon was crispy, fried onions were a nice addition and the bleu cheese dressing was the perfect amount of funk without being overpowering. *I ordered the filet and it was, no joke, probably the best steak I've had in my life. The meat was tender enough to cut with my fork and it was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned with an incredible coarse pepper rub that really set off the flavors. I added the zip sauce...amazing! My side was brussel sprouts and they were seasoned well and perfectly crisp. *Hubby had the delmonico ribeye and also thought his steak was spot on. Perfectly cooked and he ordered the chimichurri on the side, which was light and refreshing and just damn good. His side was the mushrooms and the portion was large and delicious. He also added on a wonderful lobster tail, which was about $32. *We ended our meal by sharing the chocolate cake and coffee. The cake had a bourbon strawberry sauce to top (yum!). We also enjoyed coffee with our cake. To keep the coffee fresh, it's made to order using a French press which means we got 4 cups instead of 2 and that was fine. All in all, our meal was absolutely wonderful top to bottom. We will definitely return but not indulge as much next time. Our bill was $330 (before tip) which isn't a standard dinner for us; however, this included 3 drinks for each of us which adds up quickly too.”
“I was so disappointed in our experience here. Hubby made reservations for my Birthday. We were seated in the bar area at a tiny table overlooking an oil change business. They had many intimate booths available but even with a prior credit card reservation we were put here. My steak was overdone. Portions of sides were small. Our server was wonderful and the highlight of our meal. Manager came over and spoke with us. When I inquired on why we weren’t given a booth I was told this tiny table in the noisier bar area was a coveted spot yet my entire view was the garage doors going up and down next door. He kindly adjusted our bill which was appreciated but I would have much preferred the celebration dinner I was so looking forward to, instead of my discounted disappointment. If you are going for a special evening I highly suggest calling to make your reservation instead of online. Hopefully you will have a better outcome.”
