“A really enjoyable and relaxed cellar door experience at Swinging Bridge Wines, and one that felt genuinely authentic rather than overly polished. The tasting was friendly and easy going from the start, with staff who made you feel welcome and gave you space to enjoy the wines at your own pace. It did not feel rushed or scripted, which made the whole experience more personal. One of the staff members mentioned he was actually a farm hand rather than a dedicated cellar door host, so he did not go deep into technical wine detail, but that turned out to be a positive. He shared stories about the vineyards, how the grapes are grown and even how they are hand picked, which gave a much more real sense of the place and added a nice connection to the wines. The wines themselves were excellent across the range, with a clear focus on balance and cool climate expression. Chardonnay in particular stood out, which matches what many people say about this winery. My favourite was the Caldwell Lane Chardonnay 2022, which had great structure and depth and really held your attention. I ended up buying a 1.5L magnum for $160 for my collection, which felt like a great find. The setting is also a big part of the appeal, with a calm vineyard outlook and a clean, well presented space that feels considered without being over the top. It is the kind of place where you can slow down and properly enjoy the experience. Overall, Swinging Bridge strikes a really nice balance between quality wines, relaxed atmosphere and genuine vineyard connection. A very easy place to spend time and definitely worth a visit in Orange.”

“Stopped here for a tasting and loved it! Great service, lovely wines and we did the savour package which gave us 7 bite size canapes to match the wines. Scott was super knowledgeable and passionate about the winery and region. He gave us some further excellent recommendations for our stay. If you are coming to Orange make Swinging Bridge a must do stop x We look forward to coming back and doing the Indulge Package to drink the wines again and enjoy the 10/10 food.”

The pairings were delicious (and generous), Matt was friendly and full of knowledge about the wines and local area. “While staying in nearby Parkes, we took the drive to Swinging Bridge for a paired lunch & winery tour. This was in December 2024 & it was a gorgeous hot summers day. The tour was so personable & interesting, I learnt so much about wineries. The dishes we had were outstanding, I couldn’t pick a favourite even if I tried! We left with purchased wine in hand & have thoroughly enjoyed their bottles since. Highly recommend!”
