Welcome to The Yount Room, where Napa Valley's past and present converge in the historic Yountville Station building. Named for George C. Yount, who planted the valley's first vineyard, our space invites you to experience the region's rich winemaking landscape in depth. We're more than a tasting room — we're a crossroads for community and wine discovery, where unexpected connections flourish and Napa's next chapter unfolds. Our collection represents a journey through the valley's diverse terroirs and beyond, featuring established pioneers like Cornerstone Cellars, Cain and Conn Creek alongside innovative new artisans charting fresh territory. Each visit offers an exploration of wine's varied expressions — whether you’re a long-time enthusiast or just feeling adventurous. Here, wine appreciation balances sophistication with curiosity, honoring tradition while venturing beyond the familiar to uncover hidden treasures and emerging frontiers.
“Such a fun place to do wine tastings. The hospitality team is amazing. Sean Robinson, the hospitality director, really aligns very quickly to what his clients like and make great recommendations. It’s a very laid back environment focused on Yountville and local artists. We recently attended a winemaker meet and greet event there. Keith Emerson, the winemaker, was very personable with a plethora of information to share. I highly recommend a visit to the Yount Room. If you like white wine blends (Sauvignon Blanc and Semilon) , try the Hibou wine from Cornerstone. Keith Emerson is the winemaker maker.”
“Comfortable, airy tasting room with a knowledgeable staff. We were welcomed with a tasting menu personalized with our names, a nice touch. Tasted 3 excellent wines. Our host gave us information on not only the terroir, but also on the winemakers and why the wines had been selected for the Yount Room. Overall excellent experience.”
“We had an amazing wine tasting experience at The Yount Room, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Lisa and Sean, which immediately set the tone for a memorable visit. Lisa guided us through the entire tasting journey with incredible knowledge, passion, and genuine warmth. She didn’t just introduce the wines she brought them to life with her storytelling and deep understanding, making each tasting feel special and personal. Her friendly and engaging personality made us feel completely at ease, and it was clear how much she cares about creating a meaningful experience for her guests. Thanks to Lisa, what could have been a simple wine tasting turned into something truly unforgettable. A big thank you to Lisa & Sean for such a wonderful experience we will definitely be recommending The Yount Room and look forward to visiting again!”
“The Cain tasting at the Yount Room is an elegant and structured experience with hints of fun and playful whimsy. Lisa is a hospitality host extraordinaire providing excellent context of the Cain Five estate terroir compared to the other fruit sources and how they find expression in the wines. She also provided background history nuggets of the greater Napa Valley. Providing a side by side comparison of the Cain Five latest vintage allowed us to experience subtle flavor differences as the wines evolved in the glass. Each wine has a unique flavor profile, certainly pleasing our palate. Highly recommend the Yount Room experience.”
“We had relatives from Texas visiting. We were able to reserve a complimentary morning tasting for 5 on a Thursday. I received both a courtesy call and text to confirm the reservation. The host, Lisa, was awesome. She was very knowledgeable. She gave us some marcona almonds in believe and made sure we always had water in our glass. Found out we grew up in the same area. The 3 wines (pinot, red wine and cabernet were great) Lisa poured us the Flagship Howell Mountain Cab and it was awesome. I was first introduced to Cornerstone wines from a buddy in the early 2000s when Celia Welch was the winemaker and i believe the cabs were composed of 3 beckstoffer varietals. The new winemaker makes excellent wines as well. We had an awesome time and our Texan guests were very happy with this tasting experience. Also, there was water and dog treats for our 2 dogs. We also briefly spoke to Matt and we wish him the best on his first Marathon coming up.”
