Goosecross sits in Yountville, California in the heart of the Napa Valley. The winery’s history dates back four decades and now is owned by Christi and Dave Ficeli. They fell in love with Goosecross years ago and always wanted to make it their own. Christi and Dave met while working in the wine industry in Modesto, California almost twenty years ago which started their love for wine and even more importantly, each other. When they married, they knew they wanted to eventually have a small family winery that they could pass down from one generation to the next. Ambition and career paths took them away from wine country for many years. Once they decided to settle down, start a family, and create lasting roots, the Napa Valley was the only place for them, and Goosecross represented so much of why they love this valley. They knew the Napa Valley and Goosecross was the place they wanted to call home, their forever home. Goosecross continues to evolve while always keeping its roots in the soil and history of the Napa Valley. The long legacy of Goosecross only serves to deepen their love of wine, dedication to hospitality, and our connection to farming the land. “This place is so welcoming and comfortable. Our server at with us at our table to get to know us and preferences and catered our experience based on that. We had such a great time and got a tour of the vineyards and the barrels. Gail was an absolute gem and I would highly recommend Goosecross for tastings!”
“In the Napa Valley floor, Goosecross got its name from the literal geese that would everyday cross the road and the winery estate to get to the river. The winery has been around for decades and is now owned by Christi and Dave Ficeli. I tasted their rosé, Merlot, Estate Cab, and Holly's Block Cabernet Sauvignon. The views of the mountains and vineyards while tasting is truly breathtaking. Jason was an amazing host and Christi was so sweet to sit and share stories with me! I had an amazing experience at Goosecross Cellars and highly recommend them!”
“WOW! This is our new favorite winery. Ryan was so knowledgeable and fun to be with. He took more time with us than anyone ever has. We couldn’t schedule a tour, but he took us on one anyway we got to see each vine, each grape, and the production facility. And the cab… it’s a new fave. Very very nice. You can’t find this stuff anywhere else. You have to stop in.”
“A wonderful winery with very intimate tasting. Our host Ryan took us through the process of creating the wine while giving us tastings while explaining the intricacies and process involved. Although the winery itself sits on a small piece of property at approximately 10 acres, they source from other areas outside to create a level of wines from Cabernet to Merlot and others that have a very full crisp, full and light taste which bring about a refreshing feel when drinking then. A very relaxed atmosphere, again with a intimate feel that gives you an educated look at how the wine is produced, store and presented. A must stop if you love a dryer wine with a full body taste.”
