“What a beautiful winery! We had a really nice tasting during our visit to the Island. Absolutely gorgeous main building that was just the right amount of industrial style finishing while still feeling cozy. The grounds are well maintained with a stunning pond. Dan runs the kitchen and managed to serve us some delicious snacks with the limited resources at his disposal while they finish renovations on the restaurant. We left with a couple of nice, good priced wines and look forward to visiting when the new restaurant is up and running!”

“Unsworth Vineyards is located on the south end of the Cowichan Valley in Mill Bay, BC. The vineyard is set amongst farmland next to a lovely farmhouse that the original owners converted into a restaurant. Find their lovely new tasting room across the parking lot with lots of seating options including couches, tables and hightop tables. The room opens up to a lovely outdoor seating area that's perfect on a summer day next to a picturesque pond. Unsworth offers a leisurely wine tasting experience, usually out on the patio if the weather is nice, otherwise their tasting room is a cozy space during the cooler season. Their welcoming staff will happily impart their knowledgeable about the wine and wine making process to any curious guests. We love bringing our wine tours here!”

“Unsworth Vineyards is a hidden gem between Victoria and Nanaimo. The setting feels like stepping into a cozy cabin—warm, welcoming, and surrounded by natural beauty. The wine room experience is relaxed and informative, and the food at the restaurant is exceptional. I highly recommend the seafood chowder—it’s rich and full of coastal flavor—and the grilled broccoli with a fresh green salad made for the perfect light lunch. A beautiful stop with amazing hospitality and thoughtful wine pairings. Highly recommend!”

“​We decided to check this spot out for lunch, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the expectations. ​The Vibe: There was quite a bit of construction going on during our visit, which definitely took away from the atmosphere. The pond on-site was also a bit of a letdown—it felt more like a moat or a dugout than a scenic vineyard feature. ​The Wine: This was the biggest surprise. You’d expect the prices to be a bit more competitive since the wine is produced right there on the property, but it was actually the opposite. We felt the wine was significantly overpriced for what it was. ​While we’re glad we finally checked it off the list, the value just wasn't there for us. We won't be heading back to this one.”
