The staff were exceptional, and the owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the entire experience feel special from start to finish. The food was outstanding. The seven-course tasting menu showcased an incredible variety of flavours, and the chef took the time to explain each dish, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I had the opportunity to try several things I’d never tasted before, and every course was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The drinks were equally impressive and paired beautifully with the meal. Overall, it was a truly memorable dining experience, and I can’t wait to return.”

“Came for the tasting menu. Looks like they change this up quite frequently. Some unique flavours (for me) heavily centered around African and Caribbean foods and explanations to accompany it. Staff were friendly including the owners. For the price and local to London I would recommend this place and experience.”

“Recently, I had the pleasure of celebrating a friend’s birthday at Yaya’s Kitchen. We went on a Friday evening for the 5-course, Afro-vegan menu, that was an absolutely delightful dining experience.  The vibe was cozy and intimate, with the host (Malvin), chef (Maryam aka Yaya), servers and staff all glowing with an inviting sense of warmth, as they shuffled through the restaurant preparing each course and providing us with an immersive experience that we will never forget. We had our servers come around and allow us to wash our hands, in order to facilitate the practice of eating with our hands and bringing the sense of touch into the experience in a tangible way. It was such a beautiful experience. The food was absolutely phenomenal! From the intentionality, love, and preparation that goes into the food, the marriage of the flavours, to the tastes, aromas, and the overall joy that comes from this experience - I can’t say enough positive things. 100/10. Go as soon as you can! We are planning to return for the Saturday evening menu that consists of 7-10 courses, including animal proteins and we cannot wait!”

“Came to Yaya's for the first time for a birthday dinner and was absolutely blown away by the experience and food. Everything that I tried was phenomenal. I've never been to a restaurant where they explain every dish and all the history and background about every ingredient. If you have the opportunity to go, I highly recommend. Will be returning asap!”
