“We made a large group reservation for 10 people just a week before the day and it was a breeze via their online portal and I was worried as our group size grew beyond 10 that we would be hit with set menus or minimums but the owner himself helped me adjust my reservation and he did not apply those rules. We arrived and were able to congregate across the bar for a while before we decided to sit down at the table. Our group was able to enjoy the dinner without being rushed and everyone loved the food. The margaritas were also popular as they are fresh and made in house - not using any pre made mix. I would happily bring another group back for the ease, good food and wonderful service provided by Matt who was not only making all the drinks behind the bar but also taking care of the tables within the dinning room. He was wonderful!”
“I took my girlfriend here for the 1st time last night. All of our go to date spots were closed but a friend recommended this while I was cutting his hair earlier that evening and it was open and serving dinner late. I have to say it is by far the best restaurant I’ve tried in Denver in a long time! We sat at the bar. Matt was bartending. His knowledge and service was impeccable! We tried a bunch of different things cause he said everything on the menu was great and to our surprise he was right. Everything was better than great. It was above and beyond expectations especially for 930 at night! We felt bad for coming in so late but they were so inviting and happy to have us. The owner/executive chef came out and introduced himself. Great guy. Insanely talented chef. We can not wait to go back and bring our friends and family. What a hidden gem!!! I could eat there for every meal! Oh and I should mention they have free parking in the garage on sight which we found out during dinner. Bonus points for crazy down town Denver. Kudos guys! Thanks for Taking such great care of us. See you soon!”
“I been coming here for 4 straight years. Been bringing friends and family for a awhile. I love sitting by the bar or the booths. Service its quick and kind. Bartenders always ready to entertain. Parking is hard depending what time you come through. I gotta talk about the spices its my favorite part and the presentation is beautiful. Its expensive but who cares this is a craft that no on has. Thank you for bringing this recipes to denver much needs. You looking for something spicy, beautiful and tasty this is the spot.”
“We showed up last minute with a massive group of 35 people, which is usually a nightmare for any restaurant. But Mike (the owner) didn’t even blink. He stepped up personally to make sure we were set, and honestly, the level of care was insane. Usually, when you’re feeding a group that big, the food quality takes a hit—but not here. Zocalito is doing something special. We’re talking great flavors, and incredible drinks. Everything coming out of the kitchen was high-end, fresh, and seriously delicious. The staff was the best part, though. They were cool, high-energy, and handled the chaos of 35 people like it was nothing. They actually made the night fun instead of just "managing" us. If you’re looking for a spot for a team outing or a big celebration, this is it. It’s rare to find a place that can handle a "quantity" crowd while still delivering "quality" food that’ll impress everyone. Easily the best big-group experience in the city.”
“My mom and I went here for dinner before a show at the Paramount Theater. The restaurant is an inviting and well-decorated space with some beautiful art. Our host/server, Matt, was so kind! We ordered margaritas, salsa and guacamole, ceviche, and split the beef tenderloin. The flavors were incredible!! My mom and I were guessing which spices were used in some of the dishes and Matt was happy to talk us through the flavor-profiles. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend checking out Zocalito!”
