What diners say
“Impressive interior that narrates a story of those it invites.
The atmosphere is one of considered hospitality; the barista’s immediate, sincere acknowledgment sets a tone of genuine warmth from the moment you step inside.
The space is a study in contrasts, seamlessly blending industrial pragmatism with contemporary refinement. The architecture highlights a compelling juxtaposition: raw, exposed red brick creates a visceral tension against pristine white walls, while the soaring, raftered ceiling—complete with industrial ductwork and heavy structural timber—lends the room an expansive, vertical depth.
The environment is bathed in natural light, funneled through generous, street-facing glazing. This luminosity is thoughtfully complemented by a sculptural, multi-tiered white pendant chandelier and understated task lighting that centres the service area. The seating arrangement favours a minimalist vernacular, utilising light-toned timber to maintain a clean, uncluttered visual rhythm.
This austerity is artfully mitigated by the introduction of organic textures, including vibrant flora and fresh, seasonal blooms. A decorative library ladder leans against the exposed brick, serving as a functional aesthetic touch that anchors the room’s verticality.
The service counter is a masterclass in tidy presentation, featuring a glass vitrine that elegantly highlights a curated selection of pastries. The vanilla scone is a triumph of technique—buttery, meticulously laminated, and deeply flavourful. The espresso is equally accomplished: delicate and balanced, with a nuanced profile that hints at the bright, complex terroir of a high-altitude Guatemalan origin and the precision of a masterful roast.”

“Driving my bus cross country from Florida & got stuck in Arizona due to snow. I visited this coffee place twice in my stay in the Phoenix area. Absolutely the best Lavender coffee I’ve had in all of Arizona. I tried the raspberry lemon bars & the croissant like pastry with popcorn & chocolate on the top (I forgot the name ). Both were absolutely to die for, these bakers absolutely know what they are doing. The atmosphere is so beautiful and welcoming. The staff were beyond friendly both days. I watched the barista clean machine before making my coffee fresh. You may have a small wait but the coffee is fresh and the environment is clean , well worth it. I will think about this place every day until I get to come back. 20/10 delicious!”

“Where else can you get pastries, cakes, coffee, and beautiful and fresh flower arrangements? This place! It's probably the most adorable coffee shop I've ever been to and they serve some of the best coffee I've ever had. I usually get the butter and almond croissants and they are to die for. They are so decadent... Flaky and tender on the outside while delicately chewy on the inside. I love almond croissants and they're the best here. Pure heaven.”

“A must-stop every time I’m in Phoenix!!!
I’m in Phoenix 1 to 2 times a month for work, and A Flourshop is one of those places I genuinely look forward to visiting at least once every trip. What makes it so fun is that it never feels “the same”, they’re constantly rotating in new items, seasonal pastries, and little surprises, so I actually get excited walking in to see what’s different this time.
The space is beautiful, calm, and thoughtfully designed, and parking has always been easy for me, which is a huge plus when you’re squeezing in a stop between meetings.
This visit I grabbed:
--Glazed butter croissant, rich, flaky, and indulgent in the best way
--Lemon poppyseed muffin (GF/V), moist and bright with a great lemon glaze
--Ham & cheese croissant, savory, buttery, and seriously satisfying
--Zebra kouign amann, crisp and caramelized with that perfect layered bite
It’s not cheap, but the pastries are huge, clearly made with care, and worth it. If you’re anywhere near Downtown Phoenix, this place is absolutely worth making a stop.”

“This was an excellent pastry shop with solid coffee. The pastries are clearly their main business, and all of them were wonderful. The spinach artichoke croissant was a standout and was well balanced with a delightfully crunchy outside. The elote danish was good, but could have been punchier on the flavor side. The monkey bread had great cream cheese frosting and had a really soft texture. I also loved the lemon curd on the lemon mini-cupcake. I enjoyed the cruffin but it could have used a little more filling.
I really appreciated the homemade syrups, and the coffee was solid with well-made espresso.”
