A Sanctuary Cafe: Coffee, Books & Cats

What's included? Each reservation is approximately one hour and gives visitors access to both levels of the cat lounge space (including a quieter, more private downstairs area that cannot be seen from the front window or cafe/bookstore's window walls) and a $10 credit (per guest) for cafe beverages and treats!Do I need a reservation to interact with the cats? - Yes, reservations are required to enter A Sanctuary Cafe's cat lounge. - Please review the rules (listed below) and be prepared to fill out a waiver as part of the reservation process.Please note we will not be accepting reservations for parties larger than 4 people during regular cat lounge hours. We will be adding a private event option for larger groups in 2025.Cat Lounge RulesBefore the VisitEvery cat lounge visitor must sign a waiver before entering the space. Preview the waiver here: https://asanctuarycafe.com/documentsVisitors are not permitted to bring their own cats.No children under 8 are allowed in the cat lounge. No exceptions.Children between the ages of 8 and 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to place any beverage or pastry orders with the cafe.Guests are required to put on shoe covers and sanitize their hands before entering the cat area.During the VisitPlease follow the directions of cafe staff. Do not wake a sleeping cat.Do not chase a cat who doesn’t want to interact with you. Do not give the cats any food or drink. Do not pick up cats. No outside food or drink allowed.Cancellation Policy: Completed reservations can be modified or canceled through Tock (with refund) up to three days before the reservation date. Cancellations within three days of the reservation will be considered on a case-by-case basis and those requests should be sent to info@asanctuarycafe.com.Using the $10 Cafe Credit: These credits must be used during the reservation and cannot be saved for a later time or transferred to another reservation party. Wednesday Craft Nights last approximately ninety minutes, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and give visitors access to both levels of the cat lounge space (including a quieter, more private downstairs area that cannot be seen from the front window or cafe/bookstore's window walls). You’re welcome to bring your latest work in progress, borrow from our supplies (coloring materials, origami, sketchpad and board), or contribute to our latest communal art project! Our Wednesday Craft Nights are the perfect opportunity to:- Have a dedicated time and space to continue that craft project you really want to finish- Meet with fellow crafty people and yap about your work in progress - Hang out with our thirteen resident cats!Do I need a reservation to come and be crafty?Reservations are required to enter A Sanctuary Cafe's cat lounge and interact with our cats. If you want to come by and sketch/crochet in our bookstore/cafe area, no reservation is required! However, our seating is limited with only small bistro tables and is first-come, first-served.Before the Visit- Every cat lounge visitor must sign a waiver before entering the space: https://asanctuarycafe.com/documents- No children under 8 are allowed in the cat lounge. Thursday Reading Nights last approximately ninety minutes, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and give visitors access to both levels of the cat lounge space (including a quieter, more private downstairs area that cannot be seen from the front window or cafe/bookstore's window walls). You’re welcome to bring a book of your own, buy a book from our shelves, or borrow from our permanent collection in the cat lounge! Our cafe will also provide complimentary, freshly-brewed tea from our friends at MEM.Our Thursday Reading Nights are the perfect opportunity to:- have a dedicated time and space to start that book you’ve been dying to read,- meet with fellow booklovers (or simply be surrounded by likeminded people), - and hang out with our thirteen resident cats!Do I need a reservation to come and read?Reservations are required to enter A Sanctuary Cafe's cat lounge and interact with our cats.
