Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery is a modern American restaurant and cheese shop inspired by the timeless tradition of gathering around a table with loved ones to share good food, good drinks, and excellent cheese.
“Super cute spot with the market in the front of the space with the bar/dining area behind.restaurant was much bigger than I anticipated with a full patio out front and spacious back dining area as well. I was there for Saturday brunch. I felt obligated to get the cheese & charcuterie board, but I would love to go back w friends to try more of the menu. Half and half board comes w the cheese and meat of the chef’s choosing. Mick and Mary G&T was very herbal and earthy. —- 2nd visit - tried the mushroom risotto (added grilled chicken) and the strawberry trifle. Both were phenomenal. Trifle was very sweet but still light.”
“Agnes is a true treat! I found this spot on the Michelin website and had to check it out. Reservations were easy to make for Saturday morning brunch. Seated at a cozy table in the couch seat, I had a wonderful and comfortable view of the restaurant. Based on a recommendation, by both the server and incidentally the owner, I settled on the cinnamon roll and omelet. Both are nearly indescribable. If you think you know comfort food. Think again. You will literally want to crawl into the cinnamon roll and live there forever. Cheesy, savory, fresh , and bright only begins to describe the omelet. And the service? Top tier. Be sure to grab some goodies at the market on your way out. They have an extensive tinned fish option.”
“The place looks elegant but also humbly. The staff was awesome and the food was generous potions and exquisitely tasteful. Even the drink was astonishing. The fusion with raspberry and lemonade and the ment tea leaves was like nothing I tried before.”
“Food: I’ll mention my three favorites here to keep it shortened. I enjoyed the spinach and leek dip very much, the chips were delicious - crunchy, light, and airy with great flavor from whatever oil they fried it in. The dip I loved, the cheese flavor was strong and it was easy enough to get onto a chip. I liked the potato dumplings (gnocchi not dumplings) the sauce was very creamy, and Parmesan, and the bits of broccoli added a nice soft texture. I loved the crunchy pieces of bacon on top. The lettuces salad was also great, crisp, fresh greens meet with sweet dates, sweet dressing, and sliced almonds to make a delicious salad. Service: We had a reservation for 7:30, but we were seated at 7:45 instead, and the hostess was on the phone talking to another customer for about 10 minutes. Why have reservations if they can’t be on time? Our server was nice though and the food came out fast. Atmosphere: I liked how it was part store, part restaurant. The cheese displayed in the front made for a welcoming entrance. The left half had tables which made it look like a restaurant, while the other had wine for display and other items, making it like a store. Overall: Really delicious food and cute vibe, the service just fell a little short for me.”
“This place is cool. They sell small little merchandise and also make food. Well I admit I ordered the happy hour sandwich a Brie and fig sandwich which was good. My only thing is that it was on a cold focaccia type bread. I wish it was heated or toasted. It would be so delicious. I’ll try again for sure. I’ll ask if they toast it on the flat iron. Hope they don’t charge.”
