Angela Pastificio is a 20-seat, handmade pasta tasting menu restaurant on Powell Street in East Vancouver. Each month’s menu follows a single progression of regional Italian pasta dishes — made entirely from scratch and cooked to order. A focused exploration of pasta — shaped by season and region, rooted in tradition, and guided by simplicity and technique. The experience includes antipasti, salad, five handmade pastas, and dolce. Named for my grandmother, Angela, whose table was never empty. The tasting menu is $98 per person, with optional wine pairings available. We are open Wednesday through Saturday, with two seatings each evening. Good to know before you book: - Reservations are available online only via Tock - For parties larger than 4, please email info@angelapastificio.ca - We are unable to accommodate egg, dairy, or gluten allergies - We do not merge or adjust seating for separate bookings FAQs: https://www.angelapastificio.ca/faqs
“Incredible food, unbelievable service, and the best dining experience we've had in Vancouver EVER!!! Don't sleep on this place, make your reservation now and show up on time. Fernando and Robbie in the front are the perfect pair to serve up Calvin's handmade pasta!! Viva Angelo Pastifico!!!”
“One of the best dining experiences I've had! Came to celebrate my partner's birthday, who's a big pasta lover. All of the dishes and drinks were delicious, spaced out perfectly, and the service was super friendly. It's a small venue, 20 seats including counter seating, so it felt like an intimate dining experience. It was so much fun trying out all the different courses, with some little twists thrown in that I'd never personally tried before (orange zest in a tomato sauce, rhubarb in a salad). It just made for a really fun evening. There was a good amount of food, even before we caved and added the extra surprise pasta course ($17 pp), so although it was the most expensive meal we've had (we don't really do tasting menus), it felt pretty decent value for money! The menu changes every month, but my favourite dishes had to be the testaroli in a sort of loose pesto (never tried or seen that type of pasta before), and the Raviolo Ottimo, which lived up to its name! We tried to walk in a few days before, but apparently that's no longer possible, so you'll need to make a reservation to try all the good food! Would love to come again - will have to start saving some money aside to do so!”
“Went here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend, and we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our servers, Roberto and Fernando, went above and beyond to make the evening feel truly special and memorable. We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and every course was incredible — each dish somehow better than the last. One of the highlights was the open kitchen, where you could watch the chefs prepare everything with such care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and romantic, making it perfect for a date night or a small group. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Vancouver, and I would highly recommend it for any special occasion.”
“Got influenced by social media and convinced 3 friends to try the pasta tasting menu with me. It is a bit pricey BUT absolutely worth it, in my opinion. The appetizers we good (first one with mortadela was like a soft little pillow, incredible). The pastas were amazing honestly, and I liked that it is not your "classic" flavours but actually new things I have never tasted before. And jesus christ the dessert, that cannoli was spectacular. This is a small place as well so it felt cozy and you could talk normally because there was a normal level of noise.”
“After trying to get a reservation here for quite a while, finally visiting Angela Pastificio absolutely lived up to the hype. We went for the tasting menu and it was phenomenal — every course felt thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully executed. What really elevates the experience is the hospitality. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the whole team makes you feel genuinely taken care of. The atmosphere and service almost teleport you into a different world of taste and hospitality. A truly memorable dining experience — completely worth the wait. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
