Bella is a small, family run winery dedicated to handcrafting small lots of zinfandel. We focus on our own century old vineyards as well as those tended by other small, passionate growers who are extremely dedicated to the heritage and quality of these vines planted so many generations ago. “Been here twice now. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Their zinfandels are amazing!! Definitely a hidden gem compared to some of the neighboring wineries with over priced cabs and zins. Love that they are also dog friendly”
“We came her on the fly, just in the neighborhood looking for a dog friendly winery doing wine tasting on a Friday. What a beautiful location, with a beautiful drive to get there, really magical. We were not up for $35 per person for the 5 of us, and the friendly lady doing the tasting could pick up on this and suggested a bottle to buy. Which we did and enjoyed it at a picnic table right outside the cave. Very nice and made for a fun day. Not pretentious as all.”
“We’ve been coming to Bella Winery and Caves for years, and it truly holds a special place in our hearts. Our daughter Ruby has been joining us since she was a 11 months old — she’s grown up with memories of hoola hooping on the lawn and ending the visit with a delicious peanut butter cup. Every visit feels like we’re returning to family. The staff is always welcoming and genuine, the wines are consistently exceptional, and the atmosphere is pure Sonoma charm — relaxed, beautiful, and full of joy. Whether it’s a sunny afternoon on the lawn or a cool cave tasting, Bella never fails to make the day memorable. Thank you, Bella, for being part of our family’s story and for creating such a warm, inviting space where amazing memories (and wines!) are made. We can’t wait till our next visit.”
“Bella Vineyards was me and my family’s favorite winery that we visited while in Sonoma (we went to 5 others)! The tasting experience with Mike was so much fun, the cave was beautiful and unique, and we really enjoyed their wines (they specialize in Zinfandel and Chardonnay). Would highly recommend!”
“Beautiful property, fantastic zinfandels, and friendly staff that went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible experience! We booked the 11am tour for 3 of us in January to celebrate my birthday. We arrived before they opened and were eating an early lunch on their picnic tables when a staff member came out to greet us. We were given a carafe of water, shown where the restrooms were, and told to take our time and come in when we were ready to start the tour as we'd be the only ones on it. FYI the outdoor seating is kid and dog friendly. They started us off with a sparkling wine to celebrate my birthday before the tour began. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the property and the wine making process, and we got to see some of the vineyard, crush pad, and wine cave. The tasting consisted of 6 wines: a Chardonnay, rose, Pinot noir, 2 zinfandels, and a dessert wine. We finished our tasting in a private room in the wine cave. Since we liked their zinfandels so much, they also poured an additional zin, the 2021 Maple Vineyards. The dessert wine was also a fun experience as they brought out a fancy peanut butter cup with salt on top to try with the dessert wine, which created a peanut butter and jelly mix when combined. We unfortunately couldn't stick around to enjoy their property more as we had another winery to visit, but will definitely be back!”
