“Perfect place for lunch/dinner for friends or family in Amherst, and their menu is easy to please everyone. My daughter and I each got a BLAT sandwich but mine was with toasted country bread and added fried egg, and hers was with toasted gluten-free bread, and both were delicious and satisfying. Husband and other daughter ordered the Thai chicken wrap and they enjoyed it. Fried pickles and sweet potato fries were yummy and portions generous. Efficient and attentive service. Next time we will try dinner there too.”

“Blown Away This is a bistro, not a super fancy restaurant. Bar on the left, tables down the center and right wall. But with that in mind, this place is AMAZING. The food, the menu, and the service were perfect, from the second we walked in. The Banana Bread French Toast had perfect texture and sweetness. The black and blue Flank Steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor (still sweet and full of flavor but not undercooked). Everything came when you’d expect. No rush, no waiting. FWIW, there is an old review that made us think twice about coming here and I’m so glad we ignored it. They either had no CLUE about what they ordered (thinking poutine would be mac and cheese), or it’s just way out of date. We walked out impressed and talking about when we’re coming back.”

“I never write reviews, but I felt I needed to share this experience in the hope that the restaurant can improve, because I have been here before and enjoyed it a lot. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty… We ordered drinks and appetizers, which took some time to come out but nothing crazy. Then we ordered our entrees… over an hour passed, and every other table in the outside covered deck had gotten their meals, all of whom were seated after us (including a somewhat large party that ordered burgers, which is what we got). Mind you, we were not checked on once while the server brought out all this other food, we had no drinks at all by this time. We asked about our food and were told, “it’ll be out when it’s ready.” When we followed up again, we were told we were still “third ticket away.” At that point, it was clear we had been forgotten. After waiting almost two hours (no exaggeration), we decided to just ask for the check and leave. What really got me to the point of leaving a review was the lack of acknowledgment about the whole thing from the server… no apology at all, no effort to make things right, it didn’t even seem to dawn on him that our experience had been awful. I had been genuinely excited to bring my family here because the food I’ve had before was great, which makes this all the more disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because with better service, this place could be outstanding.”
