After realizing it was our anniversary Lucy offered a surprise complimentary dessert with a happy anniversary message so sweet and thoughtful. We never mentioned our anniversary when booking and didn’t expect the surprise. Thank you Lucy”

“What a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, and the attention to detail is evident in everything from the blue lamp lighting to the branded dinnerware. Every dish we had was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The scotch egg was perfectly cooked, and the fish course served with a delicate sauce was a real highlight of our meal. We could not have asked for a better evening.”

“Attended a private party with about 30 in the group. Chapter One is easy to locate on the main road with ample parking space. Ambience was great, nice setup and outstanding customer service. The dishes were well presented and I took my time to savory every bite. Would recommend without hesitation.”

“Went to one of the Chapter One gourmet evenings last night. I can highly recommend it! We've been coming for years as regular diners, but this was a brilliant experience. Kicked the night off with canapés and oysters with live music. Then settled down at the table for 6 courses of delightful food, paired with some truly complimentary wines - excellent choices! A particularly nice touch was having the chef walk through the menu before the dinner service started. Made me feel like i was on Masterchef! The pheasant dish was my favorite of the night, but everything was fantastic.”

“I had the burger, and the quality of the beef was really good. We also shared some amazing starters, especially the tuna tacos, which were a highlight. My friends had the chicken Milanese and all really enjoyed it as well. I also noticed a lot of people ordering the Sunday roast, which clearly seems to be very popular there and looked great coming out of the kitchen. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the wine service, which felt a bit chaotic at times. Aside from that, the service overall was good and the atmosphere made for a nice lunch experience.”
