“This is the best Tex-mex we have found in Austin. Very friendly staff. The margaritas are not overbearing with sweet and sour. The carne guisada is slow cooked and very tender. The salsas and home made chips are amazing.”

“This is not your typical ATX mexican restaurant. I've been here before and always enjoy their fresh ingredients and their flavorful dishes. This time I had the fireman combo plate. I was starving but this plate was huge. There was a beef taco, 2 enchiladas, 2 taquitos, guacamole salad and rice&beans. The enchiladas delicious! I selected cheese and it had beef on top. The taquito i had later that day reheated in the air fryer and they were perfect with their green salsa. The taco was crispy and the meat like no other beef crispy taco I've had. I cant wait until my next bonus meal to have that taco again. The entire plate was great, 9 out of 10. But that taco I'm coming back for a plate of them. And I'd definitely order the fireman combo again. Matter of fact I've never had anything I didn't like from Eldorado. Heads up this spot has good meals at reasonable prices so they do get real busy. The staff are welcoming and professional so I recommend dining in if you can. If not no worries it reheats really well and delivery is just as good as picking it up yourself. Or atleast that has been my experience.”

“El Dorado Cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment we sat down, it was clear this place takes Mexican food seriously. I ordered the veganchilada and it was absolutely delicious — packed with flavor and made with care. The sauces were the real standout: rich, layered, and clearly house-made. You could taste the love in every bite. For dessert, we shared the pistachio chocolate cake, and wow — it was dense, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal. A real treat! My husband had the chicken fajitas, which were beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection — he couldn’t stop raving about them. Whether you’re vegan or not, there’s something here for everyone. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend El Dorado Cafe to anyone craving authentic, thoughtfully prepared Mexican food!”

“Eldorado Cafe definitely lives up to the hype! The food was super fresh and full of flavor. The tortilla chips were amazing, and the Eldorado Salsa Sampler was a hit — especially the Molcajete Verde, Mera Mera Salsa, and the spicy El Scorpio! We tried the Enchiladas Suizas, Enchiladas Classicas, Lost Amis Bowls, and the Flan — everything tasted great. I loved that the enchiladas weren’t overly cheesy or heavy. Even though the wait was long, they had outdoor seating where we could relax and enjoy drinks. I’d highly recommend making a reservation. Also a great spot for vegetarian and vegan options — plenty to enjoy! Highly recommend overall!”
