“After hearing so many great things about Bulevar Mexican Kitchen, I finally had the chance to visit and it absolutely lived up to the hype! We arrived without a reservation and were fortunate to get seats at the bar. As it turned out, that made the experience even better because we were taken care of by Gloria, our bartender, who was simply outstanding. Her warm personality, attention to detail, and excellent recommendations made our entire evening memorable. Every cocktail and food suggestion she made was spot on. A special shoutout to Gloria for providing exceptional service! We started with the Duck Carnitas Tetela, which was absolutely delicious. The combination of flavors was rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. Next came the Crab Tostadas, which were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also ordered the Tacos del Fuego and the Carne Asada, both of which were excellent and full of flavor. Every dish that arrived at our table was beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is stylish, vibrant, and welcoming. The restaurant is beautifully designed, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience. The staff throughout the restaurant was friendly and attentive. For drinks, my husband and son enjoyed mezcal cocktails that they loved, while I had two house margaritas on the rocks. They were refreshing, well-balanced, and complemented the meal perfectly. To finish, we shared the churros with caramel sauce, and they were phenomenal. They arrived fresh out of the fryer, piping hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and absolutely irresistible. The caramel dipping sauce was the perfect finishing touch. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience from beginning to end. Outstanding food, excellent cocktails, beautiful ambiance, and truly exceptional service. Bulevar Mexican Kitchen earns a well-deserved 10/10 from me. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Mexican dining experience.”
“This establishment surpassed any expectation! Food recommendations at the bottom. The service was the best I ever had from the host to the servers they all were very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about their menu items. The food was absolutely delicious every plate we tried had freshly balanced ingredients that stayed true to the original flavors of Mexico. All the food was delicious but a few plates stood out amongst the table. Top plates/super stars have a star ⭐️! Starter Plates: Guacamole Don Frijole y Queso Tacos Del Fuego ⭐️ Empanadas ⭐️ Esquites (street corn) Main Plates: Enchiladas Mole - ENFRIJOLADAS CON 900+ DAY HOUSE MOLE ⭐️ Short Rib with risotto- ARROZ CON CARNE ⭐️ Dessert: Chocolate cake ⭐️ Drink: Fresh jalapeño Margarita ⭐️ Thank you Bulevar Staff and kitchen for the amazing meal!”
“Really nice experience, Bulevar is definitely one of the best restaurants here in Austin. I would recommend the wood-grilled chicken. Desserts are massive, so you can share.”
“Had an excellent experience at Bulevar Mexican Kitchen. Maizi, our server, was engaging and helpful with items we were interested in. The Hielo Mezcal drink was small but extremely powerful and tasty. I was doubtful on the queso with herb refried black beans, but one bite and all doubts were erased. This is an excellent queso. Our favorite appetizer was the Tostado Aquachile with a jalapeño cucumber broth. They were out of tostados, even to the surprise of Maizi. However, even with chips this is amazing. It features shrimp, lots of avocado, and of course the broth; which we kept to spoon over our entrees. We also had the salad Verde, which is plentiful and which we both enjoyed. For our entrees we had the snapper and halibut. The fish were fresh, flaky, and flavorful. The chocolate cake was good and definitely can put you in a chocolate coma. We wanted the tiramasu cheesecake, unfortunately they were out. We will definitely return and need to sit on the patio for the view next time.”
“We visited to celebrate our anniversary after hearing so many great things about the food and views and quickly realized why it’s so highly recommended! The smell of the wood fire hits you as soon as you walk up, setting the tone and really getting you excited for the entire experience you're about have. The space is beautiful, and the patio offers incredible views! Plus the patio has coverage and heaters, so no biggie if it rains! The hostess greeted us right away, and Mariah, our server, was attentive and truly thoughtful throughout the night with great recommendations and surprises. The food was outstanding! Honestly, probably some of THE BEST we've enjoyed in Austin! The happy hour machete was MASSIVE, perfectly crispy and cheesy with an addicting side crema that I saved to use in case I wanted to pair with other food items, it was that good. I'm typically not a huge mole person so I was hesitant on ordering anything with it, but heard they were known for their 800 day aged mole. I asked if it was possibly to try a small amount to see if that would be something we'd enjoy and she brought out a sample to try and WOW! They do a savory style mole and it is JAW DROPPING! Creamy, luscious and definitely worth ordering! This is coming from someone who is not a mole person, well at least the sweet kind of mole. Now I know theres a better one out there! While I couldn't get over how incredible the mole was, we were dying to try their carne asada and the venison chops that they had on the menu, especially since you don't see venison often. The carne asada was well cooked and flavorful and came with a super cheesy chile relleno. but the venison double chops completely stole the show—exceptional tenderness, flavor, and execution. Their margaritas were excellent, especially the fact that you could make them spicy with their house-made pepper mix, where you can really taste the fresh jalapeños. They surprised us with a champagne toast and anniversary sweets (Fresh feeling strawberry ice cream and shortbread buttery confetti type cookies) that made the night feel extra special. We did follow that with a chocolate cake, that didn't feel like it would put you in a sugar coma and had a cherry guajillo puree that gave it a little spiced kick. Absolutely worth the drive and already on our list to return—especially for brunch and one of their mole dishes! They are a must stop in Austin!”
