“The food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and very polite. We ordered the famous octopus, which was delicious, along with a perfectly cooked steak and excellent shrimp tacos. The guacamole was outstanding, while the churros were good and the flan was just okay. Overall, it was a very enjoyable Mother’s Day experience, despite the restaurant being quite packed.”
“Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere made my birthday celebration so special. Kayla B was an incredible server — very accommodating, attentive, and friendly throughout the day. The manager even surprised us with free dessert for my birthday and shots for me and my friends, which made the experience even more memorable. I had such a great time celebrating here and will definitely be back!”
“This place is absolutely lovely, with a beautiful view surrounded by nature, trees, a lake, and the bayou. We had lunch there and had such a great experience. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and Medardo especially did a wonderful job explaining the menu and giving us great recommendations, giving us surprise cotton candy martini for our anniversary, too! It was our first time trying chile relleno, and it instantly became our favorite Mexican dish! The mojito was also excellent, and the charred octopus goes without saying — everything was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!”
“This is my second visit to Flora and I just absolutely love this concept. I’ve come for Valentine’s Day with my mom, and for my birthday, and both occasions were extremely special because of Flora. The food I cannot say enough about. I’ve only been for brunch (both times) but everything on their menu that I’ve had is amazing. Their red snapper ceviche *is actually* my favorite ceviche in the city so be sure to give that a try! Their Bloody Marys are also wonderful if you drink. The service here is also lovely and there’s always a lot of care put into checking on tables and making sure everyone is having a lovely time. And not to state the obvious but - this *location* is stunning. If you’re looking for a “vibe” - this is it. The views of the oak trees and bayou are beautiful. We’ll be back!”
“Everything was good overall, but a few things felt off. The biggest surprise was the use of basmati rice, which really doesn’t fit traditional Mexican cuisine. The churros were clearly not homemade, and the fish in the tiradito was served in chunks instead of the thin slices it should traditionally have. That said, the Cochinita Pibil was very good, and the tortilla soup and tostadas were solid as well. In the end, it felt overpriced for the quality and authenticity of the food being served, plus the $10 valet parking without a chance of the self parking.”
