“As a lover of Mexican food, ATXC has so many different takes on traditional dishes, that everything I ate felt like a new experience. All the dishes I had were so flavorful, yet each was unique in taste. The happy hour menu is fantastic! When I read that this place was advertised to be 100% gluten-free, I couldn't believe it. I was able to enjoy things here like the brussels with chorizo (airy, crispy salad like dish with chorizo) and a tres leche dessert which I've missed ever since I was diagnosed with celiac. The staff all seem great and I love the vibe at night here. ATXC is just special.”

“We went for the Happy Hour on Saturday for the happy hour food and drink specials. Stacy was our server and she was terrific! Be sure to ask to be seated in a happy hour section. The winners on the Happy Hour menu were the Guac and corn chips, the Tacos Alambre (my favorite), the Flautas (birthday girls favorite), Ribeye Taco and raw oysters ($4 each). See Pics below! They do treat you special on your birthday, so include that in your online reservation or tell your server. Tacos De Pescado (Fish Tacos) had mixed reviews, some found it too fishy. Some of us really liked the Carne Apache. The Margarita was good, but comes with a lot of ice! But you can request half the ice and no salt and that helped a ton! We will definitely be back! Food was delicious.”

“Visited ATX Cocina in downtown Austin with my family and had an amazing experience. This place serves modern Mexican cuisine, and everything we tried was excellent. We ordered sopes, machete, papas, duck, and steak, and every dish was flavorful, well-presented, and cooked perfectly. For drinks, we tried the Lychee Nini, which was refreshing and delicious. Both the food and drinks were outstanding. The service was great, and the vibe of the place is lively yet elegant, making it perfect for a family dinner or a special occasion. I’d highly recommend making a reservation, as the place gets quite busy. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Definitely one of the must-visit modern Mexican spots in Austin. 🌮🍸✨”

“ATX Cocina has a bustling, energetic vibe from the moment you walk in, and the service moves quickly to keep up with the lively crowd. Everything is served family style, which makes it a great place to go with friends and share a variety of dishes across the table. The drinks are excellent. I had the Hermana Rosa, and it was refreshing and well balanced. My counterparts had margaritas and sang their praises. Our table ordered quite a spread including the queso fundido, Brussels sprouts, machete, carne asada, crab relleno, chips and guacamole, and the coctel de campechana, and honestly I only have great things to say about the food. Every dish was flavorful and well executed, and sharing everything made the experience even more fun. The chips and guacamole were a great starter, and the larger dishes like the carne asada and crab relleno really stood out. Customer service was okay overall but not overly warm, but efficient. One thing I did appreciate was that they stayed on top of the table and brought us fresh plates for every round, which kept the family-style dining experience clean and organized. Overall, ATX Cocina delivers great food, strong cocktails, and a fun atmosphere that’s perfect for a group meal.”

“Spent a lovely dinner evening at ATX Cocina for my partners birthday. I loved how the whole menu was gluten free. The starters were absolutely delicious. We had the tostadas de atún, which was a bit spicy but packed with flavor. The machete with chicken tinga was so juicy and that lemon aioli sauce was a perfect balance for all the cheese and flavors. My partner really loved his main which was crab relleno. I had the carne asada which was a bit too cooked for me but honestly I was satisfied with all the small bites and delicious drinks that I didn’t care to send it back (also not a fan of that). The server sent out a birthday dessert with candle which I thought was so sweet. We order tres leche as well but sadly was disappointed with the flavors. The staff, the service, was absolutely incredible. You can really tell everyone is working as a team. Will be returning next time I’m in Austin ⭐️”
