“Came across this place while Googling, as I was looking to delve deeper into Mexican cuisine beyond the usual dishes and snacks like tacos, quesadillas, etc, and I was impressed to learn that they offer many unique and interesting dishes you wouldn’t normally associate with Mexican cuisine, such as Sopa Azteca and Chiles en Nogada. The service was also good and swift. Highly recommended if you are looking to expand your Mexican food repertoire.”
“Came for Cinco de Mayo and ended up finding one of the best hidden gems in Brooklyn. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was super attentive, and the margaritas were some of the best I’ve had. Everything felt upscale without losing the authentic vibe. Highly recommend the Camarones al Ajillo, Tamal en Nogada, and Tuna Ceviche. Definitely coming back by the way ask for Luis and Israel they are really kind and hospitality thanks!”
“The best and most authentic Mexican food in the city—I honestly felt transported back home. Everything was delicious, but shoutout to the cajeta flan… it was insanely good 🤤”
“We have been going to Mesa since it has opened. So 15 ish years :). The whole family loves it! Even our 8 yr. old daughter. Great authentic Mexican food. Amazing tequila selection. Everyone is always friendly. Nice spot for Brunch as well.”
“We came to Mesa Coyoacán with my family and ordered several plates. Overall, we had a really nice experience. The tamales and chiles en nogada were very enjoyable the flavors were great, although I personally wish the chile en nogada wasn’t battered. The egg flavor from the batter ended up overpowering the dish a bit. The quesadillas were excellent, very flavorful and generously stuffed with your choice of fillings. The carne asada plate was okay, but nothing that really stood out compared to the rest of the meal. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The vibe and atmosphere were intimate and relaxing, which made it a great place to enjoy a family meal.”
