Aventino Cucina is an Italian restaurant in the Bethesda neighborhood of Bethesda.
“We had the BEST meal here! We celebrated our anniversary and they did SO much to make it feel extra special! They even brought us cannolis on the house!”
“Aventino is a great spot if you're looking for an upscale Italian dining experience with good service and a beautiful atmosphere. The pasta was definitely the highlight of the meal. Freshly cooked, mine is with lamb~ it was rich, flavorful, and well-balanced without being overly heavy. The restaurant itself has a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance, making it a great choice for date nights, celebrations, or a nice evening out with friends. Their happy hour drinks are worth checking out. I wish they offered a few more food options during happy hour. Overall, Aventino delivers delicious Italian food, excellent service, and a classy atmosphere. I'll definitely be back for pasta”
“What a lovely space, it’s relatively tight, but feels big. There’s a grand ambience but intimate is definitely the word. Unintentionally adding to a dining neighbors conversation on the regular. The attentiveness and service of this restaurant is on par with Michelin dining spots, dropped a fork, got it. Need a plate cleared, what plate? You’re running low on your drink, it’s already on the way. We ordered a bunch of plates and shared our meal, starting with drinks, an aperol spritz which was on the sweeter orangey-er side in a good way. And a Tutto bene cocktail that was excellently balanced and dangerously drinkable. Anchovies with butter on sourdough, deliciously umami, savory and not fishy one bit. The oysters were like a Rockefeller, grilled under the fired oven with parsley and garlic deliciousness. The brussel sprouts are a must, which we added to the special of the night, the porchetta. Crunchy skin, succulent meat. The only miss was the over seasoned portions towards the middle of the porchetta and the massive amount of fat leftover. I get it, it’s pork belly, but a little trimming to get a higher yield of meat would suit the diner at $40+. We’ll be back, but only if we’re in the neighborhood. Coming from VA, there are quite a few other restaurants I would go to for a similar experience. Great overall night.”
“My love took me here for our anniversary on a Sunday night and I have to say this is one of thee best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. I started with the Pizza Rossa and Suppli Al telefono, recommended by our amazing waiter. Then for antipasti we had the Misticanza. A salad of lettuce and greens, soft herbs, kumquats and white balsamic vinaigrette dressing! It was so delicious and light. After that we had our main course. I had the Fettucelle and my handsome had the duck special that he devoured. I’m not a duck person but I did have to say it was flavorful and delicious. Our cocktails were so good as well! I had the Passione (rye, cardamaro and passion fruit. Babe had the old fashioned with the buffalo trace whiskey! Our drinks were strong and delicious. For my entree I had the Sauvignon Blanc! Desserts were exquisite as well! The Aventino Tiramisu was soooo good! I loved the crunch it had to it thanks to the toasted hazelnut. Ohh emm gee! Thee best! All tiramisu should taste like this. My love had the Lemon Sorbetto. So delicious and lemony! Our server was wonderful and personable. The host was friendly! We felt welcomed and well taken care of. I would love to go back! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time anniversary dinner.”
“Wonderful Experience at Aventino! Emma was fantastic! She gave great recommendations that really elevated our meal. Her service was attentive and friendly, and she kept the conversation warm and genuine throughout the evening. The pacing of the meal was just right, and overall, it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back—thanks to Emma for making our night so enjoyable!”
