“Wow! flavors like these will make your mouth happy! Every dish was unique, creative, and packed with flavor. It’s easy to see why reservations are so hard to get. You can try yr luck at the bar, 1st come 1st serve. The menu changes often, which makes me wish I lived closer so I could visit regularly. We ordered quite a few dishes, and the portions were perfect for sharing. The fresh bread was an amazing start to the meal, and the sugar snap peas were a standout. Since the menu is always evolving, my recommendation is to ask your server what the chef is most excited about and order it. You really can’t go wrong. The servers are very knowledgeable This was a memorable dining experience, and I hope my next visit won’t be too far away.”
“Here’s a polished review you could post: We returned to Sarma for a celebration, and once again it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, Sarah and the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. The service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced throughout the evening. The food was simply out of this world. Every dish that arrived at our table was beautifully presented, packed with flavor, and showcased the creativity and quality that Sarma is known for. It’s rare to find a restaurant that consistently delivers such an exceptional dining experience, but Sarma does it every time. Having visited before, we came with high expectations, and somehow the team managed to surpass them. The combination of outstanding hospitality, an energetic atmosphere, and unforgettable food makes this one of our absolute favorite restaurants. A heartfelt thank you to Sarah and the entire staff for another amazing evening. We can’t wait to come back again! Favorite dishes: Cornbread, the eggplant, bbq duck, brisket, potatoes Desert: baclava tacos Drinks: going platinum, penthouse suite”
“I’m not an expert in Middle Eastern cuisine, but I really enjoyed the food here. I especially liked the burrata with avocado. Brussel sprouts were good, too. It was fresh and flavorful. The dishes were a bit on the pricey side. We also had to wait quite a while, but overall I was happy with the food.”
“Awesome vibes, but the food is slightly mixed. Came on a Tuesday night, party of 2 with a 9 PM reservation. We were greeted, seated quickly, and loved the intimate and cozy interior. Our server was very kind in explaining the options and checking for dietary restrictions. The food was, for the most part, good but quite salty. - The Black Sea cornbread is worth all the hype: textures are superb, and the cornbread is so unique with a cheesy, savory filling with a beautiful sweet/salty balance. - BBQ duck was also a standout. Comes on a long skewer and is super tender. The BBQ glaze is very balanced paired with the fruity sauce. Everything else was quite salty and underwhelming. The latkes tasted reminiscent of a salty hashbrown, the scallops were cooked very nicely but lacked flavor. The halloumi was quite good but the combination of flavors wasn’t our favorite. And the dish that hands down needs the most improvement is the brussel sprouts—overwhelming salty and the toppings felt like burnt croutons. Overall, wonderful environment and get the Black Sea cornbread. Wish we could’ve tried more dishes as I’m sure many of them are great, but the ones we did try need some extra care.”
“This was our first time trying Mediterranean fusion, and the evening started on a positive note with excellent customer service. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and consistently checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. The ambiance was energetic but very loud. We went on a Tuesday around 8 PM, and the restaurant was packed. Tables are placed close together, so you can easily hear nearby conversations, which made the space feel crowded. Food-wise, the experience was mixed and, in my opinion, overpriced for the overall execution. The clear standouts were the Black Sea Cornbread ($19, 9.5/10), which was phenomenal and completely unique, and the Brussels Sprout Bravas ($18, 10/10), easily the best dish of the night. We also really enjoyed the Steak Shawarma ($42, 9.5/10) and Ora King Salmon ($37, 9/10), both flavorful and well-prepared. Other dishes fell short. The Spinach Artichoke Dip ($24, 7.5/10) was creative but not something I’d order again. The Lentil Nachos ($24, 6/10) were just okay. The Chicken Wings ($25, 4.5/10), Eggplant Fries ($19, 4/10), and Parsnip Poppers ($24, 3.5/10) lacked balance and didn’t justify the price. Overall, I’m glad we tried it, but the experience didn’t live up to the hype. Personally wouldn’t return, though it may be worth a one-time visit for curiosity.”
