“We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at State Park and truly could not have imagined a better experience. Chelsea was incredible to work with. She always available to answer our questions, and so helpful in planning the flow of the night. She made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. The night of the wedding, Nicholas managed everything seamlessly and kept the evening running so smoothly behind the scenes so we could actually relax and enjoy ourselves. The bartenders absolutely crushed it. Every drink was amazing and they somehow kept the bar moving incredibly fast all night long. Every single guest commented on how amazing the food was and how much fun they had. We’re still hearing about it weeks later. State Park created the perfect atmosphere for our reception and exceeded every expectation we had. We are so grateful to the entire team for making our wedding night feel so special. Highly, highly recommend!”

“This place is exactly what you want out of a dive. Good vibe, warm atmosphere, no frills, and surprisingly good food. Food punches well above its weight for a place like this. Beer list is pleasant, with several options (national, local, and import). Duck nachos are awesome because each chip is loaded so your bite is perfect. The kale Cesar is surprisingly good (I’m not a salad guy). Wings looked better than they tasted and were admittedly average (think they could have used a few more min in the fryer), as was the sandwich, but overall I was pleased with everything we got.”

“Love visiting state park with my coworkers to unwind. Tried their root beer float, and loved it. Big portion! Their patio is nice, although we did get into a predicament with the staff. We were celebrating a coworkers departure, most of us got drinks and finger foods but they didn’t want all of us to sit on the patio. And then later that evening after spending most of the night inside the bar, I asked the patio staff for 4 of us to eat on the patio, where he said yes, but then when I went to collect the rest of the group in the bar, the bar staff told me we were not allowed to go up to the patio. So then I had to wait while those two connected on the issue. We then ate up there, no problem. Anyway, didn’t enjoy the tension.”

“Decent spot. I usually have an issue with “dive bar” themed bars that don’t quite get there, but this place keeps a decent vibe inside. The location is weird. Super fresh, crispy, corporate area of Cambridge, but once you step downstairs and inside it is undeniably cozy. Service is nice, drinks are solid, pool table, lots of wood. I have two issues with this place, both being on my distaste for the appropriation of the “dive aesthetic” in bars and neighborhoods like this. First, the place is littered with Budweiser, Rolling Rock, and Hamms vintage merch, even appears on their website. None of these things are for sale there, just a handful of cans, mostly craft beer and some house cocktails. That leads me to my 2nd issue. The prices are on the very high end of acceptable. The cheapest option is $5.50 for a High Life and the best option is $6 for a draft Narragansett. There were no happy hour specials or handshake deals. This rubs me the wrong way for a place that is decorated like this, they should have more cheap canned options, at least more than 2 beers on the menu that cost less than $8. These are minor concerns, because the place is still cool. If they weren’t going for that specific vibe it wouldn’t even bother me or be worth mentioning, but it is a slight annoyance. They could save a lot of money and sell cheaper beer and be an actual dive bar if they instead occupied a smaller/older space a little deeper in the neighborhood? Seems like a win-win. Idk, overall it’s still one of the cooler spots for a drink in the neighborhood, but they don’t really have any competition for this specific market.”

“We went to celebrate a friends 30th birthday, it was my first time here! 1/2 of the space was empty to become a dance floor later in the night. They had a fun cocktail menu. I mostly stuck to bottled beer but the cocktails and mocktails that my friends had they said were delicious.”
