PARK 600 is an European-American restaurant in the Rochester neighborhood of Rochester.
“Went with a group of ladies for our holiday dinner and had a wonderful experience! The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. They even have a beautiful lobby decorated with little Christmas trees and a sleigh that’s perfect for photos. The food was tasty—my chicken piccata was absolutely delicious—and the cocktails were refreshing. We also loved the happy hour specials on appetizers. Highly recommend!”
“Had brunch here over the weekend with family (and some potential future family members 😊). We had reservations and were seated right away, which was a great start. The service was good overall. There were a few small hiccups, but nothing major or anything that took away from the experience. It did seem like the food took a little longer than expected, but it wasn’t unreasonable. I can’t speak for everyone’s meals, but mine was a bit on the bland side — nothing particularly memorable. That said, the establishment itself is exquisite. The ambiance was quiet, comfortable, and perfect for conversation, which we really appreciated. Overall, a pleasant experience with room for improvement on the food.”
“An expensive but very nice restaurant located in a hotel. We have wanted to come here since the restaurant changed to Park 600 a few years back. We came for a date night. Overall it was good. The experience started out rough as the staff at the bar and host stand didn't put a best foot forward. We stood at the host stand for about 5 minutes while about half a dozen staff walked nearby and didn't even acknowledge us. We walked to the bar to ask if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait, the bartender VERY condescendingly told us to wait at the host stand. When the host did arrive she was polite but made no effort to apologize about the wait and wasn't very good at asking us the typical host questions such as, "How many guests?" "Where to sit?" "Have you been here before". She seemed either very new or very bad as a host. Luckily our waitress was phenomenal. She was kind and helpful with everything. She helped us with the menu, had great opinions about the food and drinks, and was very attentive. The apps we ordered took a really long time to come out for how busy it wasn't so we ended up only getting drinks and apps as we didn't want to wait another hour for entrees. What we did have was really good. We had the baked Brie, French onion soup, and the beef stew. The baked Brie with the fruit was amazing, probably the best baked Brie I've ever had. The beef stew was also perfect. The French onion was decent but a bit under seasoned. It needed salt and a stronger onion or beef flavor, but was still decent. For the price and wait I would expect better. 2 drinks, an app, and 2 cups of soup ended up being $62. Which is A LOT. We want to come back when we have more time to enjoy more drinks and don't mind a longer evening because the food looks really good. So this one gets a trepidatious recommendation. Make sure you have at least 2-3 hours and are willing to spend a fair bit.”
“We have enjoyed the patio dining here many times but usually reserve it for a special night out because of the prices. (Meals are not $20-$30!) Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. We walked in from the back and noticed several empty outdoor tables and thought we would be seated promptly, but after a brief wait with others standing at the host stand, the hostess greeted us with a stare and seemed to struggle seating people because “the open tables were reserved.” The main reason we come here is the view, which never fails to disappoint. Instead, we were seated at the only bad table on the patio - around the corner facing the parking lot, in a dusty corner under a loud bar music speaker. We decided to skip further discussions with the hostess and asked our waiter to move to an open table just two tables away. Later, the same hostess tried seating another party at that same bad table, and they also ended up moving. The new menu was also a letdown. They removed our favorite appetizer and our favorite entrees. I ended up with a butter-dripping pasta dish and a stomachache. To be fair, we did enjoy the eventual seating, our salads, the expensive spirits, and excellent service from our waiter, Carter. Unfortunately, the new menu, all-white lobby decor, and hostess experience all feel like major downgrades. At this price point, the experience should feel polished, welcoming, and worth returning for. We are going to wait a while until returning and hope that, in the meantime, the hostess finds new employment for which she is better suited.”
“I wish I could give more stars but tonight was kind of a bust. We seen the Spookeasy on social media and we've been to Park 600 enough times to know it's usually a good experience, but tonight I don't know what was wrong. The service was so severely slow. We were seated quick and then waited at least 10-15 minutes before someone finally came to take our drink order. After that we waited a very long time in between visits from the wait staff and honestly would've spent more if they were just attentive to the tables. I feel like they were gathered around the one kiosk behind the bar multiple times just waiting for something. But we didn't let it ruin our delicious drinks and the spare rib sliders were very good but I mean if you're going to set up a holiday Spookeasy, make sure you have enough staff to cover the floor and make damn sure that the guests are being taken care of. I really wish I had a better review but it was just an off putting experience at the Park. 600 tonight.”
