“First time coming here and staff was friendly and attentive. It was earlier than the normal dinner crowd so not as loud as I'm sure it can get. Food was incredibly fresh and beautifully plated. Higher quality ingredients were used and from what I've heard the menu rotates seasonally. The garlic parm fries were so fresh & flavorful. The wings were crispy, a bit on the heavy side oil-wise, but also flavorful. Sauces all tasted homemade. Will definitely come back again.”
“Bonus points for being open on a Monday AND serving food past 8pm!! This area is a food/open restaurant desert and luckily these folks are actually open and serving food and drinks! Burger was good. "Pickle jar" was worth the visit.”
“The service was absolutely fantastic. It was a quiet night, but the waitress was very personable. Of all things I think I like the asparagus the best. My seafood cakes were good. My wife’s burger was good. The charcuterie board was good, but I would say the asparagus and the service stands out. The atmosphere is nice and they were thoughtful enough to put a curtain around the door so that the wind does not chill everyone every time it is opened.”
“Service was great - efficient, attentive, knowledgeable. Atmosphere was nice too - historic brickwork, timber framed, nice music but not too loud to converse. Seafood cakes were good (just not great IMO), Short-Ribs were fork tender, but bland - as were the gnocchi that was on the same plate. I'm a big Ravioli fan - and this Lobster and langostine version in a clean sauce sounded good - but again, everything was bland and needed salt. We also split the blueberry creme Brule - and the flavors were nice, but the Brule still had sugar granules in it. Drinks we liked very much - we'd come back for the drinks, the food just needed seasoning.”
“My boyfriend and I visited The Vesper tonight and overall it was just meh. The staff were super cool, friendly, and really attentive, but the food didn’t hit the mark. My partner’s wings came out undercooked, even after we asked for them to be cooked longer — and still had those stringy veins in them, which was honestly pretty off-putting. I enjoyed my oysters but again, nothing spectacular. On the positive side, my burger was solid and the parm fries were good. Drinks were just okay, nothing memorable.”
