“Wow. I was impressed! They knocked it out of the park right off the bat with their bread and butter, amazing how something so simple starts ypu offer on the right note. It was our anniversary and they brought us complimentary champagne (such a sweet gesture). The appetizers were amazing, they definitely stole the show, still thinking about the shrimp and cauliflower! We enjoyed our mains of pasta and pork, but would mix it up next time. The cocktails were wonderfully made, creative and homemade ingredients really kicked them up a notch. Good atmosphere and wonderful service. Can't recommend it here enough.”

“In February, I started searching for a nice restaurant in Rochester to celebrate my son’s college graduation in May (we’re from Pennsylvania). Avvino came up in my search, and the menu looked amazing. Communicating with Janine to make reservations was so easy, and she was wonderful to work with. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was delicious! I also made sure to save room for dessert, and I’m so glad I did because the cheesecake was AMAZING!”

“Absolutely incredible experience. Amazing communication to help plan a special executive work outing. The chef tasting menu food was full of unique flavors and creative combinations that you won’t find anywhere else in Rochester. Every dish paired perfectly with the wine selections, which the staff recommended with real care and knowledge. The service was warm and genuine, making the entire night unforgettable. Highly recommend.”

“Their selection of meats were quite surprising and good. They had it all, venison, beef, pork, lamb, frog legs, duck, octopus, the works! Definitely some interesting and tasty selections to try. The only issue we had with this place is that we notified waitress of gluten intolerance and asked about a dish and she said it was okay. It arrived with an orzo looking pasta that when I asked her again was made of gluten. She brought another dish but luckily I didnt just take her word for it the first time.”

“had to wait over an hour for the food. no check-ins or updates during this time to let us know our food was on the way or if it was being worked on). food that came out was cold so we didn’t enjoy it (we ordered a porterhouse to share). the scallops were salty and the salmon was mediocre. we ended taking a lot of the food to go and they couldn’t even provide us a bag for all the containers. not sure who is rating this place but would highly not recommend. the tom wahl’s next door was even more enjoyable than this.”
