“Such a cozy bar/restaurant. It feels both like being in a pub in the UK, as well as a nice American restaurant. The staff is super friendly, and it’s a really fun atmosphere - not overwhelming, but buzzing in a good way. Lots of little groups sharing bites. And the food was good too.”

“I really enjoyed my time here! First, the Halloween decor was fantastic — a skeleton and a big hairy spider, but done so tastefully that it felt festive rather than over the top. Inside was cozy with candles on each table, a brick wall, quirky posters, bookshelves, and card games. I tried the orange wine, which was unique and refreshing. My partner got a cocktail called In the Cards — rye with cinnamon and cardamom — perfect for fall. We shared the fried calamari, I had the fish and chips (very good), and my partner had the mac and cheese (hearty and filling). Overall, great vibe, good food and drinks. I’ll be back.”

“The food was just ok. Very limited menu. Our server was very nice but not very attentive. My order came out wrong and he didn’t come by for a solid 10 minutes so I had to get up and go to the bartender. I’d like to give the benefit of the doubt but the place was pretty empty so not sure what happened there.”

“Went on a date here out of the blue. The wait was too long at another restaurant nearby, so had to improvise. We were drawn in by the quiet ambiance, cozy furniture, and familiar menu. We ordered the roast chicken and the fish n' chips. In my opinion, both of these dishes are rather "safe" fare and difficult to botch. The service was great, and we received our drinks and food in a timely fashion. However, the roast chicken was miniscule. An emaciated half chicken that was rather dry, only being salvaged by the flavorful, crispy skin. The green beans and potatoes were tasty as well; there just were not enough of them to justify the price point. Potatoes are soooo cheap in bulk, so might as well pile them on and leave the customer satiated. They certainly piled the potatoes on for my fish n' chips. Unfortunately the fries were in that unsatisfying middle ground between small, crunchy fries and hearty, filling potato wedges. The fries had not a semblance of a crunch, limpness like a wet sock, and lost their seasoning out of sheer depression. The fish looked promising, as the beer battered shell was dark and crunchy. But... the oil must have been too hot or the fish too cold because the fish and batter refused to combine like they had a vendetta with one another. The crunchy crush, albeit tasty, separated away at first bite. I was left with a mushy, white mess that fell apart instantaneously. It was like my utensils were magnetic and the fish carried an opposing polar charge. Speaking of charges, the price was also a bit steep for what we received. I packed the fish n' chips in a to-go box for my roommates but forgot the dish as we hurried to leave. I wasn't even upset tbh. At least the ambiance and server were nice.”
