“This sushi experience in Boston is simply unparalleled! It’s a must-try if you’re seeking authentic Japanese cuisine in Massachusetts. The freshness of the ingredients, flown in from Japan, is evident in every bite. The sushi chefs are masters of their craft, showcasing their extensive knowledge and expertise. The staff is equally talented, and their impeccable pairings elevate the dining experience. Conversations flow effortlessly between meals, as each guest savors and appreciates the exquisite dishes. It’s an experience that leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return.”
“Every element felt precisely executed. The progression was thoughtfully paced, which began with lighter selections and moved into richer courses. Service was equally refined: attentive and unobtrusive throughout. Notably, they were perceptive enough to recognize that I was beginning to feel full toward the end of the meal, and graciously offered to reduce the amount of rice in each subsequent piece. This made it possible to fully enjoy and complete the experience 😊😊😊 The matcha panna cotta was a particularly distinctive conclusion—unlike anything I had encountered before. Sky Zheng is clearly a chef of great talent, and I would gladly return (even knowing how difficult reservations can be to secure).”
“The BEST Omakase in Boston hands down!! It is an Edomae style of Omakase, so it's all very simple ingredients, and the quality of the fish speaks for itself. Not much of crazy or excessive toppings, which is right up my alley! Chef Sky interacts a lot with his guests, has lots of personality and funny too. The service is also impeccable!! Attentive servers and very knowledgeable on sake. Very much felt like an authentic Omakase experience! The reservation was a bit hard to get, especially on the weekends. But after my visit, I fully understood why, and its popularity is well deserved! For its price point and the quality of the food, you can't beat that anywhere in Boston. 100% worth the value!”
“We’re so excited and grateful for the Christmas gifts from our daughter, Whitney. She treated us to an unforgettable experience enjoying Japanese omakase cuisine at WaShin in Boston. It was the best omakase in the Boston area—highly recommended 👍”
“Wa Shin is definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Boston. I enjoyed all of the sushi, and everything was very fresh and well executed. That said, I think my overall rating really comes down to value and whether the experience matched the price. For two people, we spent around $620, with under $100 going toward drinks. While the food was good, I am not sure it fully justified the cost. It did not feel like a truly standout or memorable experience. I may have a higher bar, having tried many omakase meals in Japan and other Asian countries, but even considering that, the ambiance did not feel as high-end as I expected based on the pictures posted on the restaurant’s website. The lighting and overall atmosphere felt average than anything elevated. I did appreciate how quiet and calm the dining guests were, and the service was exceptional. Still, taken as a whole, I am not convinced the experience was worth the price for two people.”
