“Had a remarkably delicious, authentic and refreshing dinner at Souvlaki GR! Sophia was incredibly attentive and made us feel like family. The Mediterranean Salad with white beans, chick peas, lentils, spinach, tomato, freshly chopped mint, EVOO and lemon was fabulous. Charcoal grilled ribeye, lemon potatoes, chicken kabobs, pita and humus, tzatziki were fantastic, as was the affogato and walnut, pistachio and honey baklava. Amazing experience in all aspects. Staff were all terrific and attentive. Thrilled to find the perfect retreat to Greece.”
“We were in the mood for lamb chops so of course we came here…we’d been here a number of times before so we knew we wouldn’t be disappointed. It was only 5:00 pm so we got a great parking space and a great table. Spiro was our server and he was amazing. He suggested that we not only get the lamb chops but the lamb pulled from the whole lamb which they were now serving every Sunday. Spiro was so right about this!!!! Every succulent morsel melted in our mouths. The lamb chops were perfection too! Appetizer was grilled octopus and it is the best served at Souvlaki GR! Lemon potatoes, orzo with tomato, pita, a couple of mythos beers and we left happy!!! It felt like we were in Greece and we were sorry to leave. Until next time!!!”
“A lively Greek spot with great food and even better atmosphere Souvlaki GR delivers both on flavor and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in—past the quirky donkey statue and into the blue-and-white, island-inspired space with string lights—you get a fun, relaxed Greek vibe that feels a bit like a mini getaway. The food absolutely holds up. I had the Paidakia (Greek-style charcoal grilled lamb), which was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The spanakorizo (spinach rice) paired perfectly with it, and the lemon potatoes were a standout for the whole table. Even when it gets busy (and it does), the staff keeps things moving smoothly. Service is organized, efficient, and friendly without feeling rushed. And don’t skip the drinks—the sangria is genuinely worth it. Overall, this is a great spot if you want solid Greek food in a vibrant, social setting. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to.”
“The food here was fresh, homemade and absolutely divine! We loved everything we had - sausage appetizer, chicken and steak kabobs, and spinach pie. Each was so tasty ans so much food we had to take half home. The restuarant is buzzing with friendly staff, like Sofia, who is amazing! She told us about Greek Easter BBQ in April- too bad we wont be in Florida for that! Sounds amazing ! We enjoyed this meal more than any restuarant meal for as long as we can remember- thats how good it was! If youre looking for an amazing meal youve got to try it! You will be incredibly satisfied! Thank you Sofia! We loved your last touch too- a nice piece of cake which was melt in your mouth delicious!”
“Beautiful place reminiscent of Greece. If we were going there for decor, it'll be a 5 out of 5, but that's not why we went. We ordered the trio of appetizers, the spicy feta, the skordalia, and tzatziki. The spicy feta was ok. The tzatziki was good but lacking flavor and almost too runny. The best appetizer was the skordalia. It was almost too sweet but it was good in comparison. For our meals we ordered a lamb gyro, a chicken, and a pork gyro. I feel that when a restaurant adds the fries to the gyro they are compensating for the very small amount of protein they are giving you. You don't have the option of getting those fries on the side, you can order a side of fries if you wish though. The little meat we received (picture a small protein skewer) was not seasoned. I mean no salt, no oregano, no flavor, which explains why the regulars ask for the big bottles of salt as soon as they get there. This applies to all proteins. We had also ordered the calamari but again, no seasoning. A little salt as they come out of the fryer would've helped tremendously. I had iced tea, and when I asked for a refill the waitress took the glass with her and when she came back there were black particles of something at the bottom of the glass. She insisted it was the Splenda that had black particles and I was not going to entertain her thinking. I finally convinced her to bring me another tea. When I added the Splenda there were no black particles in my drink. I'm thinking it could be the ice because the bottom of the sangria which had ice had the same exact black particles. If your taste buds are not demanding, this place might work for you. But if you want food that's perfectly seasoned, then skip it.”
