“Alright! I’ve been to Italy and I’ve been to Stowe Vermont, who would have thought Harrison’s could have better food than Rome… I don’t know who the chef is but the food here is a gem! Holy cow! First off the bruschetta… I’d drive three hours there and back for it. The pasta primavera… holy molly, just get it! What a bomb of flavors! To end it all off, I’d drive 6 hours and back for honey ice cream….. I’ve never heard that in my life and I’ve never tasted something so heavenly, genuinely.”

“This is a nice restaurant with a small but excellent menu. We sat outside on the patio since the inside was completely booked weeks ahead. We were able to be seated within 30 minutes. Service was ok, but not what I’d expect from such a pricey restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and took good care of us. The food took a long time to come out, but we were wowed when it did. Beautiful presentation on all dishes. And every meal was outstanding! The butternut squash soup was the soup special for the night and it was amazing! Our main dishes were the mushroom ravioli, glazed salmon, and pork chop special. All were delicious and perfectly portioned.”

“Review: A Fantastic Dinner at The Harrison We had a wonderful dinner at The Harrison. The ambience is absolutely amazing—though the dining area is in the basement, it’s beautifully decorated and doesn’t feel stuffy at all. The service was equally impressive; our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. For food, my wife had the calamari, which was fantastic, while I started with the Brie and jam—it was delicious. I also tried the duck wings as a starter, which were excellent. For my main course, I had the pistachio-crusted venison, and it was the highlight of the night—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Overall, the dishes were well-priced, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the experience was excellent. We’ll definitely be returning!”

“We wanted to love Harrison’s, even like it – it was awful. We’d heard great reviews from local friends. Pro – service is very good and attentive. Con – none of the 4 of us even liked our meals – they were inedible. We descended the narrow steep staircase into the dark dining room; outdoor seating was not open. The waitress promptly brought us menus and waters. There was a good variety of wines and we settled on the Sancerre. Charging for bread is not a good trend so $10 for 4 Parker House Rolls was disappointing. We also ordered the mussels and asiago fries. The chef seems to favor creamy white wine sauces – the added cream adds a heavy taste without adding flavor. The shrimp & sausage on mushroom ravioli had the cream sauce and cubes of sausage. The pasta primavera also had the cream sauce. It was super bland. We added chicken (see the photo of the chicken breast added to the top side of the dish not cooked in the dish). The salmon and its corresponding carrots were spiced with bebere which is very mild but not particularly enjoyable. And finally, the grilled rib-eye was bad, really bad. It was gelatinous and the worst steak we’ve ever had. I’ve only ever seen a steak cooked like this when it’s cooked at too low a heat. We fed the leftover steak, chicken, and salmon to the dog.”
