“My family and I have been here a few times. Food is always done right. Servers are always attentive (thank you Larry!) we were there recently for my daughter's graduation and birthday party, Windjammer handled a large party with ease. (actually more than one, because there were several large parties that day). Highly recommend for large parties or a quite dinner for 2.”

“Came on a Friday night in search or prime rib in the area and they delivered. The place was really busy, plenty of wait staff and prompt service at the table. Our server was friendly and efficient. We had fresh oysters as an appetizer along with warm rolls and butter. Then we had a kids steak meal, a prime rib meal, and a bacon wrapped scallops for an main with a side of brussel sprouts. The oysters were good, nice and plump and fresh. The brussel sprouts which are crispy with bacon and some glaze were excellent. The bacon wrapped scallops were cooked well and tasty. The prime rib came with your choice of side, which we had the mash potatoes, which were nice and buttery and creamy. The prime rib was cooked to order rare, was nice and tender, the side of au jus and the horseradish cream sauce excellent. For dessert I'd recommend the creme brulee. Overall excellent meal.”

“Here in S Burlington for work event and my colleague found this place online. Great stop for dinner. Good food and service. We arrived early enough by 5 on a Wednesday night, no reservation and not very crowded. was pretty full by the time we left. They give warm bread and butter at the table. Our server was attentive too but not overly. Only posted the video in bathroom because the music caught me off for a second, when first walked in there were lyrics and I thought people were talking between stalls, but they were clean and nicely scented bathroom which is a plus. Will add though the hostesses were slightly rude, my first impression want very welcoming there was 3 of them, asked if we needed reservations and our response was “we are slow right now” 😐 Either way, we obviously are tourists and gave it a try. Recommend maybe the hostesses try to be more welcoming, smile more , we are here to spend money and if others are like me, wrote a review.”

“Restaurant is a nice place. The waitress was great. The food is good. But being charged surprise fees? They say in other review responses that they need to do a “better job” of informing patrons of a surprise “kitchen service fee” when presented the bill. But they won’t, I’m sure every customer including ourselves will not receive any mention of this additional charge until it’s on the bill and you ask the waitress what it is. Why not also have special separate fees for the friendly restaurant greeter and also for the guy who brought our food and for the person who cleans the table and how about a supportive fee for the guy who repairs the roof on the building? So empathetic!… by being disingenuous to your patrons. If the check said hey, the manager took a $10,000 pay cut to help this restaurant staff I’d say that’s more appropriate. Are WE allowed to make the surprise and say we’re subtracting 2% from the bill when we get the check? Please don’t reply and say we’re sorry we didn’t communicate better, or we’re disappointed you had a bad experience because you’re not. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be review after review, over 2 years mentioning this surprise fee, which is technically false advertising and just shady. Read the room, just be up front and simply update your prices. It works better than empty excuses. We tipped well over 20% on the entire bill so don’t think we’re cheap and punitive. It’s too bad because we’ve been here with our family several times over the years and I usually write nice reviews. I should have seen the little mention of the service fee on the bottom, right hand corner of the menu!”

“OVERRATED RESTAURANT — RACIST VIBES & MEDIOCRE FOOD This place is extremely overrated—largely because too many people follow hype instead of forming their own opinions. Here’s the real experience: • Racist undertones from staff • Unhelpful and reluctant service • Uncomfortably loud upper deck • Staff indifferent to seating preferences • Overpriced food for mediocre quality • Surprise “kitchen service fee” added to the bill Upon entering, we were greeted with cold, dismissive energy. There were three staff members at the host stand, laughing and smiling among themselves, but their demeanor immediately shifted the moment my partner and I—both people of color—approached. We asked to sit upstairs and were told to “find whatever seat.” Once we got up there, the noise level was overwhelming, so we returned downstairs and asked to be seated in the quieter area. One staff member shrugged it off to a colleague and walked away with a subtle attitude. The hostess who eventually seated us clearly didn’t want to be bothered. She made no effort to offer seating options and initially tried to place us in a dark corner. When we asked for more light, she simply placed us in another corner—still far from ideal. The only highlight of our visit was our waitress. She was friendly, professional, and clearly trying her best. She is the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. As for the food: The fried calamari was smothered in flour—overly heavy for a starter, especially for someone trying to enjoy a cheat day without feeling stuffed before the main. The steak was decent, but the fries tasted like they came out of a freezer bag. And most upsetting of all: The racial bias was hard to ignore. We watched as other guests—clearly not people of color—received warm, attentive service, while we were barely acknowledged. Even an Army veteran dining near us received no appreciation or special service, despite his partner politely asking. That says a lot about the values here. I will never return. The atmosphere is empty when basic human decency is missing. Avoid this place if you care about genuine hospitality and equal treatment.”
