“We loved it here and definitely would come back. We searched comprehensively for a special dinner experience for our last night in Cape May, and initially we were taken aback because we could not get a reservation before 7pm on a pre-season Tuesday in May. So we went early (no problem being seated around 5:30 or so, but it did seem full an hour later) and were we ever rewarded. Everything was simply perfect, including Vicki, our veteran and down to earth waiter. When we are unsure of things, she provided expert guidance with kindness and wisdom. The mussels appetizer are an experience not to be missed - save the bread for lapping up its saucy juice. My wife loved the pork chop - its huge and she took half home for lunch. I devoured the blackened fish of the day over bok choy. Both simply were outstanding. If/when again in Cape May again, we'd certainly come back. With a reservation!”
“The waiting staff was very attentive throughout our dinner. She realized we needed drinks before I did. My husband enjoyed his tacos and I enjoyed my shrimp garlic white pizza. Next time we are in Cape May we will be back!”
“We had went for a ride down the the shore! We google seafood near me! Cape May popped up! We found this wonderful cozy restaurant right over the Cape May Bridge to the left! We received a warm welcome from the hostess, we had a comfortable booth near the fireplace! Our waitress was Tay, I think she was extremely helpful with our menu choices. She was friendly attentive and on point with extra napkins, drink refills ect! It was Oyster Wednesday! The warm brioche bread and olive oil dipping sauce was excellent! There was so much on the menu we wanted to try! We had 3 appy’s mussels marinara steamed clam’s in a buttery broth, colossal u peel Shrimp hubby had manhattan clam chowder (loaded with clams) we had the fried oysters & steak medallions! The home made french fries where tasty & cooked perfectly! I have to go back just to try the oyster taco’s! & oyster stew! They are reasonably priced also! Im sure this place is packed during season! Im so glad we were able to go off season & enjoy everything not feeling rushed! We were to stuffed for dessert but next time! We highly recommend a visit!”
“Tayrn was amazing ! We are visiting from out of town and had the best experience. The food is amazing. I have a very sensitive gluten celiac disease. They have a whole separate menu and bring out an orange napkin so everyone knows. Then you get your food on a separate orange plate. It’s so nice to be able to be safe and still have food that doesn’t compromise on taste. I wish places where I live did this. The pizza was gluten free and the flavor was amazing. The crust is perfect. So many amazing options. Huge wine menu. Fresh clams. It was great. Be sure to go for sure !”
“Lucks was great! I had Ceaser Salad and chili. My son had the Philly cheesesteak pizza and my wife had the black bean soup. My wife I'd a vegetarian and I'll be honest, the black bean soup was the best food of the night (i thought the chili was gonna win and didn't get a pic - oops!)! As a side note, they have Hank Sauce (infused herbs) and i am now a fan. Not super spicy but great flavor! One last more thought. Lucky's is really well maintained. I'm always freaked out if a restaurant is dirty. Anyone can wiper a table but if the rafters are dirty ... ugghhh! Lucky's was well maintained and the service was great!”
