“Attended a rehearsal dinner here and it was hands down the best I have ever been to. The room was the perfect size for our group to easily converse without being crammed in. Crab cakes were so fantastic I might stop back before we leave for more. Outstanding!”

“We visited the Brewster Inn over the weekend to celebrate a birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was lovely, the food was delicious, and the warm fireplace created such a cozy atmosphere. The staff was polite and very attentive to all of our needs. The French onion soup was served hot and full of flavor, and the lobster risotto absolutely did not disappoint. We stayed in the Carriage House, which was beautifully decorated, spacious, and very quiet & the perfect place to relax and enjoy our evening. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast in the main dining room. I highly recommend the Brewster Inn to anyone who appreciates the charm, history, and elegance of a beautiful historic inn.”

“We celebrated our 13th anniversary at the Brewster Inn and had a wonderful time! The filet minion was flawless- cooked to perfection over mouthwatering mashed potatoes. We also enjoyed the scallop special which was carefully crafted, with varying depth of flavor from the combination of mashed turnips, golden beets, and pork belly, along with perfectly pan fried sea scallops. Do yourself a favor and order the crème brûlée. Room 4 was tastefully decorated, spacious, and welcoming. We appreciated the walk in closet with a space to store our bulky winter coats and boots, and the extra large whirl pool is heaven on a blustery December evening. The double shower in the main bathroom was a pleasant surprise, but it need to be examined as one shower head output only moderately warm to ice cold water, and the other, a full range of temperature. The vent fan in the bathroom is broken and very noisy when turned on. Again, overall, these small details did not detract from our good time, as we simply giggled about them and went on with our evening. Suggestions: I’d like to see the Brewster Inn offer robes, in addition to the towels, as a convenient option for lounging in the room.”

“Beautiful view of the water with plenty of outside seating. We arrived for our brunch with a party of 9 at 10:30. We ordered appetizers of octopus and clams at 10:45 along with our brunch items. The appetizers arrived at 11:30 after we inquired about the long wait. The octopus and clams were extremely salty. At noon, we still did not have our brunch items and after we inquired several times, the food arrived at 12:15, 90 minutes after we ordered. The food was cold, the French toast was mushy, and the waffles looked like they came from a box of frozen waffles. Our server and manager seemed unconcerned with the long wait. We will not be back anytime soon.”

“It is frustrating that this review format focuses on the "Inn" when 99% off the business is the restaurant. My wife and I went with another couple for a Friday night dinner. The server was wonderful. Every course of the meal is itemized, which I'm sure is typical of fine dining. 3 of us got the chowder as an appetizer, which was one cup, measured in a creamer server and poured into the bowl at the table. For the entrée, 2 of us got lobster risotto and the rice was slightly undercooked, but not worth sending back for a redo. My $80 20oz ribeye was supposed to be medium, and was so well done no juice came out of it when I cut it. For the caliber of dining this is supposed to be, it never should have made it to the table. I had to wait a few minutes to flash down our waitress and, to her credit, she immediately acknowledged that my steak was way overcooked. After 5 minutes or so she returned to tell me they had several on the grill so it wouldn't be too long of a wait. As everyone was finishing up their meals she finally returned with a mid-rare steak. (If I'm honest, Texas Roadhouse has much superior flavor.) It was fine because by that point I was taking most of it home to reheat later. She did thank me for my patience, which was the closest thing I got to an apology for my inconvenience. Not a single offer of any compensation, no visit from a manager, nothing. Not the level of service I would expect when paying $360 for 4 people with only 2 cocktails and a tea for beverages.”
