“I just got back from a lovely one night stay at INNESS. I had been once before for dinner only, and my husband treated me to a solo getaway for my birthday without the kids :) I arrived prior to check in and got an amazing facial, relaxed in the bathhouse, followed by a delicious lunch. My server for lunch and brunch during my stay was Erin and she was fantastic. Amazing service, and so warm & friendly. All of her dinner recommendations were spot on. The Hotel Manager James upgraded my room to a private Cabin and it was absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious and great amenities. As a Cabin guest you also get access to the Farmhouse common areas which was equally beautiful and welcoming. There is transportation offered on property, in a very well branded mini fleet of Jeeps - beautiful touch. The drivers were all very friendly and helpful too! Before I checked out, I had an amazing massage and another great meal. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you INNESS team for a wonderful stay!”

“Wonderful getaway in a beautiful setting. Quality of food was superb; one of the best burgers and breakfast sandwich ever. Room, however, could be better maintained and cleaner (door knob/lock hanging off door, spots and holes in couch, spots on rug).”

“My stay at Inness was overall satisfactory, but it didn’t quite live up to the expectations of a true 5-star experience. One of the biggest disappointments was the restaurant. For the price point, the menu felt quite limited and underwhelming. There wasn’t much variety, and on a few occasions, my party was even given the wrong menu, which added to the confusion and inconsistency. Another issue is the payment system at the front desk. While the restaurant and spa were able to process and accept international cards without any problems, the same international card wasn't accepted at check-in. This creates unnecessary friction and anxiety, especially for travelers visiting from abroad who rely on international payment methods. Lastly, cleanliness in certain areas could be improved. The floors in the spa bathrooms and around the pool area didn’t feel as well-maintained as expected for a property positioning itself at a higher level of luxury. During my stay the a/c wasnt working and made a loud grating sound all night. We were upgraded for a night for this inconvenience. Overall, Inness has potential and some nice elements. It's a stunning location. But a few operational and service details need attention to truly match a 5-star standard.”

“Gorgeous surroundings and clearly a great option for couples with young children and/or dogs. Restaurant is fantastic, fire pits overlooking the Hudson Valley are brilliant, but for the price, the rooms are strangely uninviting - spare to the point of the medieval. Spa design is weird and some elements were not functioning, but the massage was terrific. Go for dinner, but save some money and stay elsewhere.”

“The property is beautiful, and the staff was consistently warm and attentive, which made the stay very enjoyable. The bathhouse was a real treat and added a great sense of relaxation, and the gym was well equipped and spacious. That said, I did agree with some of the previous reviews. For a five-star hotel, there were a few things that didn’t quite meet expectations. Soundproofing was an issue—despite staying in a cabin, we could hear pretty much everything from the unit next to us, including talking, walking, and even sneezing. The room itself was nicely set up, with high-end bathrobes, plenty of towels, and useful kitchen essentials. Unfortunately, we later realized that one bottle of water had been refilled with tap water, which we had partially consumed before noticing it wasn’t a sealed bottle. That raised some concerns around cleanliness and quality control. Overall, we still had a good time and enjoyed many aspects of the stay, but the experience didn’t fully align with the price or five-star expectations”
