Old Village Inn is a New American restaurant in the Ogunquit neighborhood of Ogunquit.
“A lovely place to stay with great service-Lauren was a delight to work with. Our room was just perfect with a beautiful view of the water. Wonderful to have a bar and great restaurant on site! We would definitely go back.”
“This review is in reference to the restaurant only because I have not stayed in the hotel portion, but I bet it’s super charming and cute. This is the second time I’ve dined at this restaurant and it will always be the first place I dine when I am in town. The food is excellent, the cocktails are inventive and delicious, and the ambience is cozy and could be romantic if you need it to be. Our server Mark was engaging, well versed in the menu and food in general and extremely patient. If you are in the Ogunquit area this restaurant is must go!”
“Newly renovated hotel. Best location in Ogunquit. Close to all amenities. The room was nice and clean. Basically, you can walk to anywhere in town. Very friendly staff. Lauren is so kind and helpful. Excellent service. Look forward to staying here again.”
“Last minute trip. The room was spotless!!! And spacious. The inn keeper was very nice. No elevators and all the rooms start on the 2nd floor and higher. A cute bar/resteraunt is a bonus and it had a steady flow of customers. Location is excellent. Reserved parking spots. The amount of snow is still tough for parking but they are managing. A definite place to come back to.”
“My wife and I have been coming to the Old Village Inn for over 15 years. It has consistently been one of our absolute favorite places to go in Ogunquit, but since the ownership changed hands a couple of years ago, the standards have clearly plummeted. Tonight was our final visit. We sat at the bar (5-16) for dinner and were encountered by two bartenders—a woman and a man (the man was wearing a flat cap/Scottish-style hat and a cross necklace). He never introduced himself, but what was incredibly off-putting. He was attentive, and personable to literally everyone else sitting at the bar. Except us. He barely looked at us and treated us with an icy, bizarre coldness. We didn't do or say a single thing to warrant this kind of treatment, making the blatant exclusion feel deliberate and incredibly uncomfortable. It is a real shame to walk away from a place we have loved for over a decade, but any establishment that allows an employee to treat loyal, paying customers like second-class citizens doesn't deserve our business. We will never step foot in here again.”
