“A best of Charleston I've been meaning to go for years, but finally had the foresight to make the reservation. After 12 years, the 2 apps/2 entrees/2 desserts formula felt fresh and energized. Neither front not back of house was just phoning it in. Lovely food, great wine list, surprisingly generous portions. Snug, cozy, very French feel to the space. Best meal of our food-focused weekend trip, which included several other highly touted venues, but CN was the best!”

“Truly a gem! We celebrated our anniversary here and from start to finish it was perfect. The setting is so quaint and beautiful. We sat at the bar for dinner and it was perfect. The menu changes daily and is prepared with intention behind the ingredients available that day. We had the lamb carpaccio& cabbage salad to start. Im still dreaming of the salad- it was so layered & flavorful! We each had the fish of the day and ended with the cinnamon ice cream and pot de creme - it was boozy, adorned with berries and so delicious.”

For the main course, the bucatini al vongole was exceptional: generous, briny, and impeccably cooked, with a depth that speaks to true respect for ingredients and tradition. The experience was elevated even further by the impeccable service from Hylton, whose professionalism, warmth, and timing were flawless. Attentive without being intrusive, he embodied genuine hospitality and made the evening feel effortless. Chez Nous remains one of Charleston’s most rewarding dining experiences—unpretentious, precise, and deeply satisfying. A must-visit.”
