“What an incredible restaurant! After living in Charleston for over two years, I can't believe this was my first time. I highly recommend this for birthdays, anniversaries, friends, or family in town, etc. We split the wedge salad, and I am thankful we did because it is MASSIVE. I can be picky with my wedge salads, and this was by far one of the best I've ever had. We saw the table next to us enjoying the Broiled Oysters & Bone Marrow, and I'm so glad that we ordered it. It was so unique in flavor and delicious. For our main entree, we both ordered the NY Strip, and our server was excellent in ensuring our steaks were cooked to our taste. Overall, it was a delightful evening with excellent service, food, and lighting.”
“Our best meal in Charleston! Coming from Nashville, high food expectations. M&F was amazing. LOVED wagyu luxury bite, mac and cheese, scallops, and beef tartar the most. The Mac and cheese is a dish Ive thought of hourly since eating. The ricotta ice cream was also so creamy and delicious. Christian our server, Shawn the manager, and Chef Kenny were all so kind to check in on our meal and experience. 5 stars!”
“We had an amazing time for my husbands birthday! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable on food and drinks. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Everything we ordered was amazing starting out with the drink and appetizer they brought out when we sat down. Our server Ally was the best very helpful and very detailed. We had the steak and salmon luxuries bites. They can be shared if you just want one bite. Then we tried the bone marrow and oysters. I wasn't to sure on this one but it was a pleasant surprise and I wanted more! Then we moved on to the marble and fin for 2 so we had an aged porterhouse steak with au gratin potatoes ( these made my husband like au gratin potatoes for the first time) and the carrots( these were the best carrots we have ever hard and we are not fond of carrots). We finished off with a baked alaska and an espresso martini. Wonderful night and worth the drive! We will be back to try more things!”
“Gorgeous restaurant with impeccable service and food. Items our table of six would collectively recommend: tomato salad, ceasar salad, porterhouse, milk bread, steak frites, chocolate cake, complimentary champagne(?), potato puree, creamed spinach, onion rings. Items that were good but not as much as the above: espresso martini tap, foie gras bombe, guava end bite, ricotta beginning bite, wagyu bite, asparagus, gratin, truffle mac n cheese Item we would NEVER order again: prime beef tartare. It was terrible. It tasted like we were eating spoonfuls of horseradish and mustard. Couldn’t taste anything else except for that. We ended up sending it back and getting the foie gras which was sweet and savory with fried toast points, which was MUCH better than the tartare. All other food was wonderfully cooked and seasoned. Service was so nice and attentive. Very, very busy restaurant. Beautifully decorated, music was nice restrooms were so clean and loved the little mouthwash packets. Would be the perfect place for a wedding reception, just don’t order the tartare.”
“Beautiful restaurant. Service was good, but definitely not personal. Very "rehearsed". Had the Australian Wagyu and the corn. Both very good. The milk rolls were phenomenal. Drink was not great (Eat, Slay, Love). Took rolls and corn to go. Asked for dessert to go. Asked about Creme Brûlée, as I had seen a picture of it online and it looked beautiful. Server told me that it might not be that pretty, but it would work to go. I understood that. I was back to hotel within 5 minutes of leaving and opened up the box with the creme brûlée and I was shocked that anything would be packaged up that way. It was exactly 4 spoonfuls and thinner than pudding. You would never even know what this was. A restaurant of this caliber, I wouldn't think would want to send something like that home with anyone.”
