The Grocery is an American restaurant in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood of Charleston.
“One of our best restaurant experiences in memory -- highly recommend! We ordered several small plates and each of them was better than the last. Fried oysters, steak tartare, summer squash, yellowfin tuna and an incredible peach dish that could have served as dessert -- although we ordered the baklava sundae, too, and don't regret a single calorie! Amazing flavor combos, beautiful presentation, top notch service. Deep compliments to the chef and the entire staff. We'll definitely be back, and will be sending others!”
“Popped onto Charleston late in the evening. They accommodated us and fed us delicious food, and you could tell they put a lot of love into these dishes. They pair ingredients in a unique way that is both delightful to the taste and the tummy.”
“We really enjoyed the food here and it was easy to share as a couple. Our favorite was the broccoli dish with whipped ricotta. The flavors came together very well and the broccoli was cooked perfectly! The low country pilau tasted fantastic without being heavy and really gave me the feeling that I was eating quality whole food ingredients. We also had a nice crispy sourdough bread and some churros for dessert (not pictured). Be aware that the churros order is HUGE and can easily be shared between 5 people.”
“The Grocery is a welcoming neighborhood eatery dishing out fan favorites sourced from farmers, fisherman, and friends. We had a large party and they were very accommodating. They let us eat and catch up with friends. The standouts from the meal were the bistro steak and story farms half chicken but everything was delicious. Charleston has lots of great spots and You can add the Grocery to the list! We will be back!”
“Had a great visit with friends! We had a reservation and were seated promptly by the window, which gave us a nice view and a quieter atmosphere compared to the main room, which was a bit noisy. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The only downside was that we weren't offered a dessert menu, so if you’re hoping for dessert, be sure to ask. Bonus: they have a paid parking lot, but you can validate your ticket after paying the check, which is super convenient. Overall, a solid experience!”
