“Visited a couple Fridays ago on a last minute whim without making a reservation. We were told it would be about an hour and 15 minutes (expected) but some bar-top spots opened up after 30 minutes so we grabbed them. Service was great from the bartenders. Food came out in a faster than anticipated time for being during the rush. Food was also very great! Flavors were blended very well in the tacos and pastas we ordered so much compliments to the Chef and his crew. We just drank wine, a beer, and a delicious mocktail. No cocktails this time but we will definitely be going back!”

“Another lobster roll review 😋 The Waterman Fish Bar offered prompt, friendly service as I walked in, with depending on weather, numerous seating options. I chose to sit on the streetside patio, on this beautiful high 70 degree evening. They also have inside table & bar seating as well as rooftop when weather permits. The patio music was an upbeat mix at a volume that helped block traffic sounds while still allowing conversations. My waiter was as friendly and attentive as the hostess. So we're off to a great start - service, atmosphere were 5 star... now for the main event. I'm always hoping to be blown away with a lobster roll. It's such a inexpensive indulgence, all things considered. Unfortunately I was just a bit "whelmed." Not underwhelmed, definitely not over, it was just a "good" LR. It fell short mainly in 2 areas: 1) a mayo mix that was watery and a bit too "dilly". At least that's what it seemed to taste like - a bit too much dill seasoning, and 2) my top-rated lobster rolls are overflowing with lobster chunks and this one was simply filled. I'm nitpicking a bit, I admit, but also know I wouldn't turn down a chance to visit The Waterman again. Perhaps next time I'll be OVERwhelmed 😊”

“Cute decor, delicious food. Service was friendly but slow. They seemed to have only one server working, but he was friendly. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Sooo delicious! Chunks of buttery lobster mingled with cavatappi pasta and just right cheese sauce. My friend had the lobster roll (Connecticut style) and she said it did not disappoint! Her daughter had the clam chowder and Caesar salad which she enjoyed. Finally the hush puppies with honey butter were delicious! Overall, this was a great lunch stop during our visit to the area.”

“We've wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and finally had the chance today. Our server Kortnie was awesome. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The service was awesome. The food came out relatively quickly. They get great points for timeliness and courtesy. I liked the appetizers, although I can tell it was time to change the oil in the fryer... I could taste it in the Calamari. The Honey Butter for the Hush Puppies was really good. Unfortunately, I ordered the Cajun Pasta. The sauce was very thin and barely clung to the Cavatappi...I'm not sure why they use that pasta for that dish but that's an entirely different conversation. I don't like sending dishes back but I could not eat it so I sent it back. As a former Sous Chef, I was expecting a Manager to come speak with us for their report but that never happened. I was very surprised by that. Anyway, maybe they were having an off day in the kitchen. Not so sure I will be returning anytime soon.”
