“I just want to thank the people at Bimis for their kindness on May 25th. My husband and I were there to celebrate our an anniversary since we love Bimis and have been there a couple times before, I unfortunately experienced a health episode during our dinner and the people there couldn't have been kinder to us. They packed up our dinner as I had to be transported to the hospital and asked us to please visit again to celebrate our anniversary dinner with them. We were not charged for our drinks. Apps and dinner which wasn’t necessary but greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back to visit your cozy spot. Thank you again for your hospitality and concern for my well being. “We have been huge fans of Bimi’s Canteen & Bar since they grew out of the amazing Bimi’s cheese shop. I love the unpretentious approach to New American cuisine and the farmhouse/factory decor. When I noticed that they listed Four Fat Fowl on their supplier list, my mind went immediately to FFF’s stellar St. Stephan soft ripened cheese. So. I asked the waiter if there was -any- chance they could put St. Stephan on my double smash burger. He went to ask the boss and the boss said ok as long as I bought the rest of the wheel of cheese. Oh, poor me. I had to have one of my top three cheeses on a delicious smashburger….AND then, with each bite, the melted cheese dripped onto the crispy shoestring fries…. And… I had to take the rest of the wheel home to share with friends. Such is my suffering in this life. Actually, it was -amazing-. Really so good. Also loved the mixed berry galette. The pastry was perfect and the local vanilla ice cream set off the tart berries perfectly. Sound track was excellent. Service was so on point and friendly. And that burger….”

“We had a fantastic night! The drinks were expertly crafted, well appointed bar and the service was warm, friendly and thoughtful. Culinary highlights included the delicious gem salad, the perfectly cooked whole grilled fish, duck breast with cherry jus, and my favorite, the tender osso buco on creamy polenta. While the upstairs is nice, the downstairs "speakeasy" cave is one of a kind—cozy and atmospheric with its stone walls and cool lighting. Whether for cocktails or a full dinner, this was a great find!”

“Fantastic cocktails (the Manhattan and the pencilling were particularly nice) and delicious food. The menu rotates seasonally, but we both got the osso bucco and it was tender and delicious! Our waiter Obie was very attentive and especially helpful!”

“WOW. We had a fantastic dinner at Bimi’s Canteen on a Sunday night with some new friends, and it absolutely blew us away. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, but the real hidden gem is the Grotto Bar — a must-visit. Food-wise, everything was incredible. The bread and butter were hearty and delicious, and the bolognese was outstanding — wonderful red sauce, perfectly seasoned beef, and house-made noodles that were just perfection. For dessert, the chocolate cake was a showstopper: rich, decadent, and flourless — absolutely heavenly. The cocktails were equally impressive. As the sober driver, I tried the non-alcoholic Bee’s Knees and honestly, I’d order it again over the traditional version — it was that good. Lovely place, great chef, fantastic drinks — Bimi’s is a true gem. Can’t wait to come back!”
